Did you just tell someone to grow up because he doesn't agree Patty Pete is a top 5 corner?

Do you know how many great corners are in this league now? How many that can make a case for top 5? Get the frick over yourself.

Good for him. That guy deserves it.

A class act and an amazing football player to boot.

Congrats PP!

I dont think its debatable about him being 1 over Sherman, right now. The past few seasons Sherman has done what is needed for the Hawks to win. Point blank. But even as a Seahawks fan I feel like Peterson will be the best pretty soon.

I do, can you tell me why you think he is a top 5 corner?

Based on what? What has he done to claim that he is better than:

(in not particular order)
1) Sherman
2) Revis
3) Haden
4) Talib
5) Lewis
6) DRC

Not really fair comparison considering they are different type of corners and PP follows the other teams #1.

Not saying he is top 5

Sherman thrives off the system!
Revis and Talib haven't been able to stay healthy.
Keenan was good in Pitt but wasn't all world, he was great in RR's system last year and took opposing number 1's out of games. But still small body of work.
DRC has had one good season since leaving Arizona!

Theres a case to be made against everyone! To say PP isn't top 5 is ridiculous! Everyone is entitled an opinion but the dude is just good, just like the rest of the list.

Well that is because he's been horrible at punt returns the last 2 years.

Could it be that teams are doing everything they can to make sure he doesn't have much opportunity to return the ball?

Teams have been sacrificing punt distance for more hang time and sideline punts to not chance him taking it back to their endzone.

Most can argue he is a top 3 corner right now. It doesn't help that his offense is pure garbage and the outcome of the game constantly rests on the shoulders of the defense.

It really isn't:

QBs had over a 90 Passer Rating against him, which put him at 66th for corners playing over 50% of their snaps. He gave up 7 touchdowns and got targeted a lot for an elite corner. Despite 90 targets, he only had 3 interceptions and 6 passes defended. He also gave up 284 yac

Sherman thrives off the system!

No doubt that he does. He's still producing all time great numbers. Sherman had a Rating of 36 against him, and gave up 1 TD and had 8 interceptions with 5 PDs despite only getting targeted 57x. 81 yac

He picked off a pass for every 7 throws his way.

Revis and Talib haven't been able to stay healthy.

Revis played in every game last year. I think he's the best pure cover corner in the NFL when healthy.

His body of work is more impressive than PP7s, especially last season. PP7 gave up 7 tds last season. Lewis has given up 8 in his career.

Lewis vs. PP7
NFL Rating - 66.6 vs 91.3
Yards - 512 vs 688 (and Lewis played a few more games)

Yrds/Compl - 12.2 vs 14
YAC - 128 vs 284 (Lewis played in more games)
TDS given up - 3 vs 7
INTs - 4 vs 3
PD - 3 vs 3
Thrown At - 77 vs 90 (Lewis played in more games)
Receptions - 42 vs 49

Missed Tackles - 4 vs 7
Stops - 12 vs 6

Yrds/Cover Snap - .89 vs 1.00

Lewis is 4 years older, PP7 will be the best in the NFL by far at the same age
