Power Rankings of LSU Current Coaches

1. Kim Mulkey: I mean this is like a restoration project, but if anyone can do it, it’s Mulkey. She’ll be pivotal in getting new facilities for the basketball teams and upgrades to the PMAC. Already has a couple of national championship to her name. Will build a powerhouse and set us up for success later in the program.
2. Jay Johnson: Grabs Jacob Berry and a slew of other U19 stars in recruiting. Attention to detail is there. History of taking teams to Omaha. Looking forward to a few national championships from this guy.
3. Will Wade: Have y’all felt this energized about the program in years? I haven’t, but this guy fricks and lives rents free in commentators and opponents heads. Comprised a great team this year and elite eight should be obtainable despite injuries or whatever comes our way. Needs to be better on defense.
4. Dennis Shaver: Won a Natty. Good coach. No real hot take here.
5. Jay Clark: Great recruiter. Has LSU in contention every year. Strong leader and you don’t hear people complaining that the leadership or structure isn’t there. Develops well too.
6. Russell Brock: Don’t have to explain much here. Great coach and recruiter. Built one of the schools in beach volleyball. Takes us far yearly. Nationally ranked. Facilities are nice. Has a great surrounding cast of coaches. Love the outlook on the program. Dude has potentially the best job at LSU.
7. Sian Hudson: Before y’all start bitching that this is women’s soccer, realize what she has accomplished. She went and plucked players internationally. Has to compete with blue blood programs. She lead her former team to 3 NCAA tournaments in her first 3 years at her former program. This lady has LSU ranked in the top 5 (currently #12) for the first time ever in less than 2 years of coaching the program. She is building LSU into a competitive school and the future looks bright.
8. Beth Torina: Been steadfast and reliable. Great recruiter. Develops fairly good. Needs to to hire better coaches around her imo. Want to see her finish the job and win it all because I believe she can. Maybe I expect to much of her?
9. Coach Lohtek: Many of you might be going, “Who the frick is that?” Look, it’s the coach who led LSU esports team to a rocket league championship and our first ever national championship in esports at a club level. I think we can repeat with him at the helm. Might get this sport legitimized. Wonder if he has pregame rules for his players like no crusty keyboards or controllers the night before the big one.
10. Ed O: Look some of y’all might think this is too high because of this season, but you gotta overlook that and be objective. Great recruiter even though evaluations are off at times with recruiting certain players, but if you go by Rivals or 24/7 he is consistently getting their highest players *expect O-Line*. Won a national championship. Can develop defensive line talent. There’s a lot of cons and honestly there has always been cons with him, but having a part in the greatest CFB season ever puts him over the ones below.
Everyone else: To those who want to make it in the top 10, make some noise with your teams and bring us championships. (LSU swimming and golf I am counting on you)

Rick Bishop will definitely have the swim team in a better place than Dave Geyer did, but I wouldn't expect top 10 for a couple of seasons at least.

I don't see how you can rank Mulkey and Johnson when neither have coached a game here yet

Just as media outlets release preseason top 25’s. Arky was unranked this season and now they are top ten, so…

Isn't there a coach not featured on the list who won a National Championship in the last 6 months?

Dennis Shaver just led the T&F team to a record breaking national championship, but yeah let’s put the esports coach on there

Wouldn’t be a hot take without controversy…

Meh. The point of your post appears to be that you wanted to show everyone you ranked O 10th. That said, the rankings themselves are shitty, which gives your assessment of O much less validity within its own, small, realm.
