If he’s gonna play with the lineup I’d say give Ruckert a shot at DH.

I just don’t think that’ll ever happen. Not saying Ruckert doesn’t have the bat for it, but he’s pretty known to be our best defensive option at second. So if he’s in the lineup I do not believe in any way it’d be DH. He’d be at 2nd.

Not a fan of an above average fielder and the best hitter in sec play on a national championship team? Tough crowd

Need Stanfield back
That would be a good start

I would also give Yamin a good look against sac state
See what he can do because if you don’t play him he’s in the portal

Brown should both be locked in, when healthy.

Yea the only reason I didn't mention Brown was because he didn't hit vs LHP last year. We've been told that will change this year so we'll see

Saw Chris leaving the ballpark last night and I hope that I am wrong but doesn't look like his hand is ready. It wasn't in a cast but it was wrapped up pretty heavily. Will be a boost to get him back but he's got to be effective with the bat to provide that IMO.

I somewhat agree, but it seems to me that games like last night were where you get him some playing time. Cade will get the large majority of plays behind the plate where I'd like to see Eddie more, but his versatility could see him successfully in LF or 1st base.

Maybe....maybe not. I talked to him before he left the stadium and he said he is ready for his next opportunity. Seems like a great kid and bought into the team over me mentality. He could no doubt be an everyday player on another team and I feel he has more to offer here but just needs more chances to play.

In my opinion, the biggest loss and hole (with Bear) we have on this team from last year to this year.

Brown is an everyday player.

Yorke and Pearson are not good at 1B. Need to find someone to play there. Now maybe Braun is better suited in RF and Brown can slide to 1B. But we are having so many issues defensively and its impacting pitching and hitting at this point.

Yorke has an OBP of .470(3rd best of regular starters) and 3rd of regular starters in wRC behind Brown and Dardar.

Not sure what yall are seeing, but im seeing a dude who sees alot of pitches, draws lots of walks, leads the teams in hbp’s, but k’s occasionally because of the approach. He is a staple in the lineup and shouldnt be removed.

I see a "slugger" that is slugging .535, batting .255, can't go 1st to 3rd or 2nd to home meaning he puts 0 pressure on the defense when on base, is a liability at 1st, and at his weight to be sweating this hard in Feb/March, he's going to struggle in May against good pitching.

I hope I am 100% wrong

This definitely wasn’t on display last weekend. He looked bad in several at bats. Lefties ate him up.
