I'm curious as to why you feel a 35-18 team from the crappy Big 12 should be remotely in the conversation for a national seed. I can't believe they gave West Virginia a host spot. That is outrageous, to me, but it proves why I said last week that the committee has a long history of falling for what teams do late, and particularly in conference tourneys.
This is precisely my point. Some "meh" team from the big 12 gets to the finals of their tournament, and they get to host. The field wasn't as strong this year, overall, but I would have given NC State, A&M or Miami a spot over West Virginia.
