There should be a rule that if you aren’t seeded in the top half of your conference tournament and/or above .500 in conference play, you should have to win your conference tournament to get in.

You support mediocrity. Glad to know it. Or is just because your view supports whatever benefits LSU and your opinion changes like the wind?

I was just giving the reasons that I thought he would. I think it’s silly and that we deserve to be in. I don’t think LSU is nearly as bad as some of our “fans” try to act. I think they just haven’t figured out how to win consistently yet. I think they can beat anyone and I’d love to see them in a super regional or sneak into Omaha this year.

In the last CWS that was held, Auburn had a losing SEC record, finished 8th in the SEC, went 1-2 in the SECT, yet still managed to make it to Omaha. The ignorance in your post is discounting the fact that you can be a top 25 team and not be .500 in the SEC or in the top half of the conference. Not sure if you're aware, but the SEC is pretty good at baseball, which is why it's gotten 10 teams in the NCAAT the past 2 years. Almost half the SEC hosted a regional in 2019 for christs sake, yet you, in theory, want to limit bids to 7 teams unless an 8th wins the SECT. That's just a really, really bad take

When I said worse record, I meant win/loss, especially in conference.
Louisville has a better overall record, but are moving way in the wrong direction, so that’s good for us. Committees prefer teams on an upward trajectory. We’re not exactly blowing the doors off people, but at least we’re over .500 over the last 20 games.
San Diego St and Long Beach each have much better win/loss records than us. We need to hope the committee values RPI.
We beat Bama head to head, so that’s good to us.
We lost to Georgia head to head, so that’s bad for us.
Looks like Texas and UNC are going to each give us some help because their conference records are better than ours, but their OOC records stink. Lets hope they both lose today and help us out.
Indiana is a real mystery due to no OOC schedule. They’re pretty good in the Big 10, but that’s not exactly a premier conference for college baseball. Not sure how the committee will rank them.
I think we get in over Cal if they lose their series to Oregon, but if they win, they might have an argument to take a spot.
So, at present, I’d give LSU the edge over Bama, Texas, UNC, and Louisville.
I’d give Georgia, San Diego St and Long Beach St in over LSU.
I think LSU, Indiana, and Cal are all pretty equal. So, we need to hope Cal plays their way out and that there are no bid stealers in the conference tournaments to make sure we have a spot. I’d give LSU a 65% chance at a tournament bid

It is possible to be both disappointed in the way the season but also want to see them continue to play because you just love watching LSU baseball.
I am not happy at all with the way they have played and am good with CPM moving on but I enjoy watching LSU play baseball and am not ready for the long summer until football season to start yet so I am good with watching them play one more weekend even if it is in a losing effort.

Real bad post. Congrats on that. Ironic how some people only post about people’s perceived acceptance of mediocrity and don’t hold their posts to the same high standards.

LSU doesn't DESERVE
You made no argument why the DO deserve
But honestly, this reminds me of the ending scene in Unforgiven, when William Munny is about to kill Lil Bill.....”deserves got nothing to do with it”

Some people see what they want to see. Did he not post about the resumes of some of the other potential regional teams? Can you not do your own comparison of them to LSU?

Do I think LSU should be in - YES
But LSU only has themselves to blame if left out.

I just don't get the people that seem to be actively rooting for LSU to get into a regional just because they don't think they can win. I want these young guys to get at least a taste of regional play. Making the tourney may not do anything to salvage 2021 but it could do a ton to help out 2022 and 2023.

You didn't explain why LSU deserves to be in a regional. Are you going to counter their points, or just dear facebook post on here?

Florida's first seven batters are freshmen and sophomores. They seem to be doing ok this season.

Many LSU fans would be complaining just as much if LSU had the season Florida has

They are doing better than LSU but they still aren't doing great by Florida standards. They started the season ranked number one and probably have the most talented roster in the conference.

Probaby true. Their season this year has been very similar to ours in 2019. 17-13 SEC record, 7-12 road record (ours was 7-13), high teens RPI, projected to host a regional as a 13-14 seed (we were a 13).

There would be fans complaining if they were having the season Arkansas is having so this doesn't count lol

Does it really matter? The team has proven quite clearly that they wouldn’t last long in any postseason. They wouldn’t make it out of the easiest regional even if they could use a mulligan.
