jefferson and lee were on the same team, and shep was on the other.

Wasn't that supposed to mean Shep was #2 because the 1 and 3 were on the same team?

I'll be honest. I understand why people think that the "best athletes" should return kicks and punts. But there are guys on the squad (Jon Williams and Ron Brooks come to mind) that have been sitting the bench for the last couple of years that could have been spending a lot of time in practice getting reps as kick and punt returners that could have possibly provided some consistency to the return game (which has been mediocre at best the last couple of years).

i was thinking the same thing. I want to see brooks take off with blockers in front. he could break some long ones, given the opp.

LSU hasn't had a consistent punt returner since 2005 with Skyler Green.

Agree. 3-5 deep would start on many other D1 teams. The big question, as most would agree, is LB. If we get good play at LB, this defense could be as good, if not better, than the 2007 D.

How is T-Bob's recovery coming along?

And then he was BARELY even considered "consistent"

LSU hasn't had a consistent punt returner since 2004 with Skyler Green.
His production dropped as soon as Saban left BR.
