With Underwood gone, are there any potential QBs in the portal that would be a good fit in Baton Rouge if Nussmeier leaves

Nuss is likely returning. His dad has advised him to come back and get more experience. He isn’t ready for the NFL yet.

If nuss leaves for transfer or nfl BK needs to get a dual threat QB. Dillion Gabriel or will Howard dual threat is enough

I know the portal isn't open yet but kids at big schools not seeing the field or studs at smaller schools looking to transfer. LSU has a pretty decent history of bringing in QB transfers....

Does anyone really want Nuss back? I’ve seen enough through his playing time that he’s one dimensional, easy to push to poor discussions and takes them. Hes a mediocre QB at best in college and a cut line/practice quad QB in NFL. I don’t think we can anticipate a large jump in his development at this point. Hes been in the program for years and cannot get it. Almost comical that he “figured out to roll out” but it’s the same move to his backside when a step up in pocket, a lot of times, would’ve worked. He just doesn’t have it.

We have some pretty damn good qbs in our locker room right now. One that was almost as highly touted as underwood until he moved up a class to get in campus earlier

I’m not saying he doesn’t have his flaws, but we’ve seen the jump Burrow and Jayden made from year 1 to year 2. He’s had little run game support to help him out most of the season. Unless there’s a clear cut better option in the portal, I think you have to plan on him being your starter in 2025.
