Considering the creativity, flexibility, and ability to make spur of the moment adjustments that Les has always demonstrated, I think you're right.
thus, wishful thinking

Could be wishful thinking on my part but I like to view problems as opportunity in disguise.
I think its necessary. My glass half empty side says that since we cant perform the basic plays at this point, we arent spending much time on the trick plays. I imagine Les will wait for the offense to be able to run the plays called before he get creative. Ya never know though.

Not much room for creativity when you are forced to do Mac protect...your receiver options are limited to 1 or 2 routes
Short of some kinda wild cat package I don't know what else can be done
Being forced into max protect is the root of all our woes

Almost as if it was coming from Les Miles himself.
I'm just kidding but I think there's a few more things they could do.
More shotgun for one.

Playcalling is terrible. The WR's drop passes, but there is no confidence out there.
Coaches end up not trusting the players and the players end up not trusting the coaches. Not a good pattern
Defenses have the Lsu offense figured out
Stack the box, stop the run, and when Lsu throws you have a good chance that they will drop it.
Dead in the water

But our o-line cant even hold up in mac protect
I mean you can try more shotgun but I don't think the ol will hold
Maybe some plays like Idaho schemed against us earlier in the year but USCe linebackers may be too good

Real Creative like running the option with that Statue of a QB
I don't think Les have the creativity to do so, you can only fake a field goal with an overhead toss so many times

Plus The wild cat is a shotgun set, I think the shotgun is more fitted for someone that is mobile
Thus I mention wildcat

I love it when he uses "they have a want to compete" wtf? So dumb...and don't say coach speak.because I've never heard another coach say that BS.

I actually like "the want" phrase and I think it makes perfect sense.
But I get why many think it's silly.

Les doesn't make adjustments, either in-game or between games. It will be the same offense and the same play calling. Recipe for disaster against their defense. We need some turnovers, short fields, and some special teams help to get a win.

If you think that Les Miles would change anything think about 01/09/2012. Think about the 2 defensive coaches that ruined LSU defense for a season. There is a madness about the Mad Hatter--although the Madness is not always the better option with Les.

I think that Shepard could run a sweep for 40 yards then sit on the bench the rest of the game. This is a repetitive mode of operation of CLM! A major change would be to let him try it 2 times in a game or a successful play run several times a game.

I heard someone from LA Tech cracked that safe and made off with the book.
