Frey is going to be a stud. That is a positive.

Yep, he was 1-4 and could have been 3-4 with the hard hit balls he had last night. He shows superb athleticism and it would not surprise me if CJJ got him some more reps in that corner OF spot. Still plenty of season left for him to contribute.

I don't think they want us in a 3 game series. Skenes, Floyd, Little /Collins / Dutton

Midweek is about development and experience. You would think after all these years dudes would get it.

My biggest gripe with Johnson is why he keeps inserting Cooper.

Hurd was the main takeaway from this game. Midweek games are about long term development when you are as good as we are

I thought Dutton had a decent outing too.

For a big guy he is very smooth. It will be very interesting to see what the outfield looks like next season, but I have to think that either him or Kling will be patrolling centerfield.

I hope that Pearson and Kling can really pick up their hitting because that would be a killer outfield.

I get it. Cooper has not performed up to expectations. Remembering what he did last year is why he keeps getting put into games. Cooper was a workhorse out of the pen last year & probably one of our best pitchers.

Johnson brought him from AZ. Johnson has been around the kid & knows he has it in him so Johnson keeps going to him. I think he keeps getting put on the mound in pressure situations to see if he can get it back. If he continues to struggle, you won’t see much of him in the postseason.

He has never been impressive, but for the staff we had last year, he got used the most because we just werent deep on the mound. We are more talented and deeper this year. He should only be used in midweeks at this point. The big difference between last year and this year is the k zone is smaller and his walks are up. So he just gets hit in that smaller zone. Not a good combo for a pitcher like him

Milazzo won't make those mistakes again, and you're not going to have to make that stupid tag play again for the rest of your career most likely if you're Collins

Well said.

Getting a fourth dependable starter for post season would be huge.

We could start him vs the 4 seed and then have Little for a possible regional deciding game.

If we can go Hurd, Skenes, Floyd in a regional we should lock it up in 3.

Also huge for Omaha if we have to come out of the loser bracket.
