ou'd really be happy with 1-point wins over EMU, Syracuse, WKU, etc???
Yes. LSU wins. I'm happy. The margin of victory doesn't change. The object is to win. Anything more than 1 point is wasted.
Unless one has a fragile self worth and he pins all of it in being able to brag about how "we" beat up on someone. Which is foolish because he didn't do anything but sit in his arse and drink.

You're so far off base its ridiculous.
Those teams do not have more talent on their teams than we do. What they do have...are the right guys to work in their respective systems. We just chase stars that don't work in our system. Prime example: Dual-threat quarterbacks when we have a pro-style offense. Having multiple years of getting just 1-2 LB'ers and DL in a signing class.
Sure, Les is a great recruiter. But he doesn't recruit guys that fit his system.

Tech will score 40 plus, but might give up 80.

A bowl, any bowl is not meaningless to the guys that play in it.
You think our players came to LSU for the opportunity to play in the Texas Bowl???
For an elite program, the Texas bowl is a joke.

I'm sorry to burst your little bubble but a lot of teams have a lot of talent. LSU doesn't have a patent on talent.
Difficult to admit but it is true.

No shite, but don't sit here and lie and say that top to bottom any of those teams I mentioned have more talent than us. Why do you think I left off Alabama and OSU and Clemson? Cause they're every bit as talented, if not, more talented than us. And they play up to their talent.

Truly one of the dumbest posts I've read on the Rant.

Alabama and OSU and Clemson?
These are the only teams with more talent than LSU?

Throughout their roster? Yeah probably so. Maybe not Clemson.

Is it wrong?
How?

Well, I seem to remember one Dabo Sweeney talking about how important a big bowl win over a program like LSU was for the off-season so they could have to confidence to take that next step.
Did you catch Clemson's bowl assignment today?
You remember the fans bitching about going to Atlanta again? And playing a shite program? Because I do. But Clemson is the #1 seed in the playoffs now. I bet all of the people that bitched about that game would love to be playing them in the post season.

You don't watch a lot of football do you?
For example last night in the BIG championship game I saw 2 offensive lines more talented than LSU's.

If they didn't get their shite pushed in by arky or olemiss they would be in the sugar bowl. Sometimes these players need to take a hard look in the mirror.

Do you have reading comprehension issues? I said THROUGHOUT their rosters. Not just on their lines.
Also, I guess you haven't watched a lot of NFL games cause last I checked LSU has the most players in the NFL.

Throughout? You mean totally position buy position?
Did you see those defenses? Pretty damn stout. The only clear advantage I see that LSU would have had talent wise on either of those teams was at running back.
But since there was one position that LSU is clearly superior, I guess you made your point
So I guess that would qualify.
You people need to get over the idea that LSU's players are always a cut above everyone else's.

A totally meaningless factoid other than at recruiting.
Here's a hint. Those NFL guys aren't on the team today. Really. I'm serious. They aren't.

I realize that, but for a team that's constantly putting the most players in the league you'd think we'd perform better when they're all on our team playing together.

Ok buddy. I guess you can go back to watching and enjoying the shite brand of football we play. Keep that head buried in the sand you stupid shite.

You don't think that they were all on the team at the same time do you? Really? All at the same time? All of the NFL guys? Together?

Make up your mind. I thought we were debating whether LSU has a corner on the talent market.
Now you switch to the brand of football.
Make up your mind.

quote:Are Stanford and Florida in the CFP? because that's what we were talking about. And to answer your question Id say most of those teams are more talented than LSU, especially Mich State. Theyd skull frick us, so did/would Bama, so would Clemson, so would Oklahoma.
So...by your logic, Iowa is more talented than us. Oklahoma is more talented than us, Michigan St. is more talented than us, Stanford is more talented than us, Florida is more talented than us, etc.
