I picked 11-1 because I am an eternal optimist. That poll seems to say we will end up 9-3. I know 10-2 is winning but I think that might be purple and gold glasses.

its so hard to go 12-0.

Maybe for some, but not so hard for some coaches in just their second year.

Tigers go 9-3. Like others, I'm not so comfortable with the QB situation. I really think LSU needs a dedicated QB coach in addition to Crowton. Who's been coaching the QB's when GC is up in the pressbox anyway? Yeah, I know, there's headphones for the QB's to talk with Crowton, but they need somebody down there on the field. Want to see what Jefferson brings to the table against the SEC Big Boys. So far he's only proven that he has a lot of potential. Want to see if JL has done any film work and realizes what he did wrong last year and if he's eliminated all the other things that plague freshmen QB's. (Seeing the field, finding secondary receivers, throwing off back foot, etc....)

No depth or experience at Center and LG.

If Chavis and Cooper only have the LB's and DB's in a very simple non-confusing scheme where all the fast and speedy guys can use their athletic abilities instead of having to think too much and if Haley can pull a little more out of the DL than Lane did, then maybe they'll be improved. "Improved" doesn't mean "Great" however. How MUCH improved they are will determine how many games LSU wins. If there are a lot of 48-45 games, we're in trouble.......

11-1

Florida - because Tebow is still there, otherwise 12-0

IMO Ole Piss will give The Hat a run for his money and I'm confident of the quarterback situation now that some experience is back there that will shine through in the clutch . The 12 games of Season 2009 will prepare the Tigers for what they have to do to WIN the SEC West, and present well at the BCS

11-1 damn it!
We give one first and then take the meaningful one from Team Tebow paving way to a 13-1 season

9-3 most likely, 10-2 best case. QBs too inexperienced to lead us

Georgia and Bama have new QB's this year too......

10-2 Florida and Bama or Ole Miss

no p&g glasses here, and I concur with this assessment.

I am going 10-2, I don't think QB was our major problem last year. Even with the question mark at QB with them being thrown in there a year earlier than planned we still averaged 30.92 points a game (including the bowl game). Any year in the past we would of been in the BCS title game with our defenses over the past years. Defense was our biggest problem last year and hopefully with Chavis the ship has been righted! Hence my 10-2 prediction.

So you all think we're going to do that well, huh? Nearly 70% think we'll do no worse than 10-2. I hope you're right, because I don't feel that confident. I see 3-5 losses.

Chicken. There has been a time when 5-3 in the SEC and win all nonconference games was considered "just fine" by LSU fans.

I say 10-2 has and 9-3 have the same odds of happening

Thats my vote too. I don't think we beat UF even at home, but do think we beat Bama on the road. UGA and Ole Miss is a toss up.

UGA is the only SEC team Miles hasn't beaten yet. They just seem to have our number since 2003.

Although we come close in a couple, I think we lose all of these, especially the road games. 8-4

I so hope a QB shines and I'm wrong.

I think that's a pretty good call. We are not good if we don't have a proven, effective qb. 2 good games by jefferson provide some hope, but certainly don't prove that this year will be super.
