and it is pretty likely JJ flat out lied to Miles out of the gate on Friday.
why?
because (1) JJ is proving through all of this that he is stupid enough to do that, (2) JJ went ahead and flat out lied to his own dad, and then let his dad do a media interview, (3) the hearsay that other players told Miles that they did see JJ kick the guy in the head.
just the view from here.
operation head kick gives way to OPERATION JARRETT F'N LEE.

In regards to the the QB position, Miles was Jefferson's best friend and biggest supporter. Sometimes I wonder if Jefferson understands how good he's got it because of Miles. Can you imagine what Spurrier would put this guy through?

Spurrier has his own problems with his qb Garcia who has been suspended multiple times and let back on the team.
Bad example.

It doesn't sound right, but it does sound like something an emotional coach would tell his disobedient team. Just saying.
I am sure Miles feels betrayed by JJ and the others, as much as he has stuck up for them in public. There is no rational reason for him to resign though, unless he knows something we don't. Maybe he feels like he has lost control of this group, who knows.
I think the likelihood of Miles resigning are extremely small, to the point I would not give it much thought. He has to be a little hurt though by some of the vets.

John Jefferson said he was first alerted to the matter this morning when LSU Coach Les Miles' office called because it could not reach Jordan by phone. Jefferson called Jordan, who was sleeping but returned the call 30 minutes later, John Jefferson said.
"He said he didn't know anything about a fight," John Jefferson said. "He told me 'I've been here four years, and I know it ain't worth it. When I see something going down, I leave. I have too much to lose for that.' "
Wow

No I don't think he would resign at all. But I could see him saying that in the heat of the teams lashing that you know they got. But rummy confirmed he wasn't a player, and MOT says the comments were deleted. So I wouldn't even think anything of it.

Me thinks he was leaving the window open that he saw confrontation but left the scene. Turns out too many people saw otherwise.

Damn, JJ. You're a f'ing senior. You should know better!

Did he honestly think he'd not be recognized???

Is Nola Sports still standing by its story that JJ and 3 others will be charged?
And who runs Nola Sports anyway?

Yeah, I was about to add that at the end of my post. But honestly, how many QBs could play this badly under Spurrier and still have his full support?

The heck with Nola sports. They didn't even get the damn names right.
Honestly, I think that garbage was just that, garbage. They wanted to be the first to release a big story first. Only it didn't turn out that way.

the sportsnola.com story about arrests is no longer up on their site. doesn't necessarily mean it is not accurate; could mean they jumped the gun.

Not till Fisher had a pretty good idea what evidence had been developed.
I don't see this as a sign that arrest will not be made. It's just a sign that Fisher is not gonna let the LSU guys help to make a case for an arrest.
BINGO. How many totally innocent people have you ever seen who weren't banging down the police station door to proclaim their innocence and to tell their story?
If this all went down as it is being portrayed to have gone down, then one of two things will happen when the cops interview the players:
1) The players will incriminate themselves/each other.
or 2) They will be telling lies that will be easily detected.
If Nathan Fisher gets Jefferson out of this one, he will rank right up there with Johnny Cochran.

I feel like les already knows what happened.

give me a fricking break. Nathan Fisher is good. Don't get me wrong. But, he represents LSU players ALL THE TIME. Letting them walk into BRPD and give a statement without a lawyer would be foolish.

just the view from here.
My view from here shows a number of LSU players breaking curfew and some getting into a fight.
Any other view, at this time, appears to be more conjecture than anything else.

But does he know what will happen? Given the fact that he is Les Miles, probably so.
