It shocked me she didn't get much playing time in the second half, considering her length seemed to bother Clark in the second quarter. She is another unsung hero.

I noticed this in real time. Clark couldn't deal with her length. She has a hell of a wingspan.

I see Poa getting some extra minutes next year, it was just hard to take Morris off the court

I couldn’t comprehend why she didn’t start the second half. She was the only player who could half way contain Clark.

Poa had a damn strong game yesterday. All the Tigers did. Idk what Mulkey and the other coaches said or did to bring it out of them all, but no Tiger was going to be denied yesterday.

We were up 17 and containing Clark prolly wasn't #1 at that point... don't turn the ball over and match them bucket for bucket... Morris was the right call 100%.

Listening to Bob Starkey’s post game interview about their game plan explains it. They were not trying to limit her three point shooting. Statistically Iowa wins win they win the rebound battle, get easy layups inside and points in the paint. He said that they were willing to let her have the long game but not the drives to the basket. Brilliant!

Poa did a great job defensively, all year she has been the best at taking charges, just has a knack for it.

A lot of other teams noticed that as well, and will definitely use it against her in the future.

If they called moving screens, the big girl would’ve found out much earlier than she did. For whatever reason moving screens aren’t called.
one of the other threads before the game I said you play her straight up and put Johnson on her. I thought Johnson, because of her length would be a better match up. However, Morris was all in her kitchen. Maybe Johnson wasn’t quick enough?
