So why the students don't attend basketball games? There was only maybe 20 people in the student section. Even though school may be out, student sections at other schools have way more support this time of the year.

Not every school has the same dates of terms as LSU. Not an excuse though since nobody goes the games even when school is in session.

Basketball isn't part of the culture enough (yet) for students to drive back to school while they're on break to attend a basketball game. Especially non-conference. I know lots of students have requested tix for Jan 3 against Kentucky though. I'll be there

There are way more students there then you see on TV. None of us want to sit in those uncomfortable bleachers

It was pathetic. And the whole ‘school is out’ excuse is lame. A huge percentage of students live within 20 minutes of campus. We walk by the student section on the way to our seats for every game, and it usually sucks, but today it actually made me kind of sad. It’s long past time to move the student section. Let real fans use those good seats. It’s a bad look.

There are more students than it looks like at games but it was still pretty empty today. Nobody wants to sit in the bottom section though for a number of different reasons

That’s about 15 more than I noticed sitting in the student section. I thought overall the crowd wasn’t bad for a noon game against a small school.

Maybe because basketball sucks and LSU basketball is terrible.
