And any person with some semblance of thought or knows anything about baseball knows that Hess has been throwing a hell of a game and you definitely go to him in the 8th till he proves otherwise.

ETA: He has now proven it and Mainieri did the right thing in pulling him.

Bullpen is a dumpster fire...he has to try and extend the starters whenever possible.

This was the correct move tonight. It didn’t work. The correct move doesn’t always work.

It's incredible that they don't have at least 1 guy right now that you can depend on to get a shut out inning.

The problem is that we haven't found a closer. Leads are never safe and it's a judgment call when to pull your starter when you don't have one.
