You really want to show respect include the price of their charter flight in the payment, provide top notch meal for them Friday and for the return flight. Something tangible goes a lot further than feelings.

we're already doing that

So them signing a contract with the Army to serve doesn't matter because they haven't been deployed yet? Are these the types of mental gymnastics you want to get into? Really?

Going to West Point has always been considered a high honor, not a sacrifice.

Or… hear me out… you do you, let others do as they want, and don’t let other’s actions affect you. It’s just not that big of a deal.

Do we? I was not sure if cost of travel was always baked into the payment or was paid on top. I would bet meal spreads are some what conservative to net more money, LSU could always cover that. Point was doing something tangible not just feel good things.

I can tell by Ops comments he takes football super serious. It's just a game, entertainment.

Quit being a miserable loser.

I'm sure they're getting paid over a million bucks to come here to play us just like the rest of our OOC opponents

Need to play Army at least 1 more time to secure a winning record against them. Currently 0-1.

Air Force has been legit for a few years. Risky to play them. Bring Navy in next.

It's one of the few ways corporate media can market the south/middle class. The opposite extreme. Overload the camo hats.

Not virtue signaling, just stating my opinion. Do I think it’s dumb we are catering to them? Yes. But I didn’t agree what he said about them not sacrificing bc they chose to go the officer route.

And this is coming from someone that has been enlisted for 15 years, sorry I didn’t put that in my profile name so you assume I’m a “civilian”

Great work with the subtlety. I assumed you meant LSU and this makes my point even more.

You must be in the surface community, that’s a rough JO crowd to deal with

Well LSU and their 1.6million dollars are subsidizing the trip and the athletic department.
