I bring O into my office and give him a very simple ultimatum: he either gets the offense fixed or he's gone. And that means, quite specifically, Ensminger is gone or he's gone; the OC he picks demonstrates an immediate improvement in 2019 or he's gone.

Problem for JA is that he is married to CEO and his contract. If O is gone JA will likely be next one out of the parking lot.

Orgeron was hired to implement a "USC style" program -- pro-style passing attack complimenting an elite defense. Instead, LSU has gone backwards offensively.

First you have to get the personnel for it. We have the receivers.....possibly the QB if Brennan get his head on straight and the recruiting class yields a QB that is competent.

We have to find OL so that said QB's are not looking at the stadium lights and planes over head

it was good enough for 9-10 wins, but not good enough for championship caliber football.

How old are you? A lot of posters on this board somehow think that championships were some sort of LSU tradition...until Saban showed up and somehow got us to tat 2003 game we hadn't seen a Natty in 45 years. We hadn't seen an outright SEC championship that we did not have to share since the 60's....we shared the SEC in 1986,1987 and 1988.

We have never been is consistent in winning .....ever. ChollyMac would have maybe 5 winning seasons in a row followed up by a losing season , followed by some mediocre seasons followed by really good ones. Until Saban came in starting in 2000 we were not exactly an elite program and in his first 3 years Saban was geting a lot of credit for not doing much other than an SEC championship followed bu a so so season .....This program has now had 19 straight winning seasons. That's unprecedented for LSU.

Hell, in the SEC no one else can say this. Hell, other than Bama, we have almost as many NC's as the others that have won. We ain't Bama.....we are not USC and we are not the Miami of the 1980's 1990's.....also what do all of these teams have in common......they've all been on major probation in the quest to win at all costs.

Downvote my Houston Nutt post, but a Houston Nutt offense is better than anything LSU has had in a decade

Im so tired of all the bashing of the coaching staff.

What exactly do you consider bashing?

Complaints over Saturday's offensive performance?
Complaints over being the 104th ranked offense in the country?
Complaints over being tied for 125th (out of 129) in passing TDs?

What would you have done differently Saturday?

First, I would have taken the ball when we won the toss. Why? One less series for Bama with White off the field.

Second, I would have run the play clock down to 5 seconds before every snap, especially once Battle went down, to shorten the first half.

Third, jet sweeps, bubble screens, quick flips to the running back, anything to make the dline hesitate before bull rushing to the backfield. That might have bought Burrow some time and at least would have gotten the ball out of his hands.

None of this was done.

Tell me again, after a 29-0 loss that was not competitive, why our coaching staff does not deserve extensive criticism?
