At 25% capacity with fans spread over two sidelines I would think the band would have the entire North End Zone to social distance.
25% equals 25,580 fans so divide by two and you get 12,790 on each side. Add the south end zone seats and there is plenty of room for a full band.
PS sorry to go all engineer on you.

I don’t understand the reasoning for only having half of the band at the games when they could easily spread them out to maintain safe distancing. I’m assuming that the cheerleaders won’t be allowed on the sidelines either.

I wouldn't waste too much time trying to understand their rationale.

I’m not. I won’t be in the stadium anyway, or even watching on tv most likely.

The rule that anyone kid 8 or older, where does that "scientifically" come from?
It's BS

Before the first half ends, the band lines up behind the teams on the sidelines in the vicinity of wherever there step-off position is. I’d guess the idea is to minimize the amount of contact the football team has with non-football personnel to help prevent infection.
That said, I agree that it’s dumb. If these players are going to class, then the exposure is already there. Now, if they’re actually creating a bubble, then it makes sense. But as a former GBFTL member, I still don’t like it. Especially no pregame.

Its the appearance of safety. Decrees from the "Well, we have to do something" crowd. This nothing but security theater that does nothing but appease the Branch Covidians and Masked Mafia types.
