This will be a huge mistake. He deserves at least 1 more year. All this Chip Kelly, Jimbo Fischer, Saban etc etc is all a pipe dream. If you dont get one of these 3 no one else would make a difference. Dont even tell me Petterson, Dabo, Gundy are all jokes. Herman and Fuente are no better than Curtis Johnson.

i'll tell you what i told all the other miles' apologists.
if he wouldn't have held our athletic department ransom every time news of a new head coaching gig opened up, i might think differently.
after 1/9/12 i had no patience with the guy and he shite all over any grace we had left for him. good luck to coach miles and no hard feelings, but its time.

LSU hired a mediocre coach.. it worked out.. LSU is an established program with tremendous talent.. We should be better than 8+ losses and counting within a year.. 2-4 in the last 6 bowl games..

"Coach Miles deserves another year"....no coach, Miles or otherwise, deserves anything. They are well paid, they are there to win. They know the risk when they take the job. Never feel sorry for a well paid coach.

Saying were gonna give the coach one more year or else is not good for recruiting. Who's gonna sign here when they don't even know who their coach will be.
It's better to cut your ties and get your new coach in ASAP so recruits know that if they sign here, that's who they will be playing for.

Miles had 4 fricking years of second chances since the NC game. The program has done nothing but take a nosedive. Outside that wonderful 2011 season that was ultimately tarnished, he had several struggling years before that where it was just like this...looked like a downward spiral into oblivion. 1 good season in about 7 years. it's time for a change.
