Is anyone concern with how guys like Shepard, Randle and Blackwell felt after the game. Miles, known for being a players coach, seems to have some of his leaders questioning
his decisions.
I think we will be a powerhouse next year, but my only concern is if Miles starts losing his players.

Yeah. I thought they should have taken the loss harder.

I think Miles is holding grudges on what players have done in the past.

What did they say? We need a thread that compiles all players tweets and fb statuses

if you were on the team how would you feel about a coach showing favoritism and not putting team first?
Yes he has some work to do to get his players trust back.

Dude. They are still immature and had just lost very badly in the biggest game of their lives. Of course they are going to say some silly stuff and to be honest, I can't believe they aren't mouthing off worse.
By the time spring practice gets here, all will be fine with all players and most fans.

Blackwell is gone, RR is probably gone. I'm more interested in what the underclassmen are saying.

Except JJ for the alleged bar fight this year before the season kicked off.

In the locker room following the loss, a number of Tigers spoke up about the coaching staff’s decision to stick with Jefferson. The only disclaimer came from senior offensive lineman Will Blackwell. “That’s not why we lost the game,” Blackwell said. “To put the blame on one person or one thing is unfair. I hope nobody does that.”
quote:
“Unfortunately I don’t have a say in the game plan or personnel,” Blackwell said. “Jarrett didn’t get his shot, and I felt like maybe he should have, but he didn’t.”
quote:
“We could have taken more shots or done something to get the offense moving,” freshman receiver Odell Beckham Jr. said. “It could have been different.”
quote:
“Jarrett won nine games and we did very well in those nine games,” Blackwell said. “I feel like he throws the ball a little bit better than Jordan, but on the other hand Jordan runs it a little better than Jarrett. It’s kind of a pick your poison deal. “Unfortunately tonight we picked the wrong one.”

Ok here it goes... I have great respect for Lee and what he has done however I feel like Miles was protecting him from crapping his pants on National Television. That being said, I feel very very strongly that he should have been given a chance and if that didn't work try Met! It was the National Championship game!!? What did we have to lose? Everyone in the country could see JJ was out lunch. I was concerned in warm ups when he had a deer in the head lights look in his eyes. The beginning of the second half changes should have been made! It reminded me of last season watching JJ bring us to a slow death with no changes being made.

Oh, and JJ didn't do just that?
Please. The only good thing to come out of yesterday's game is that the Les Miles/JJ lovefest is finally over.

I heard one of the defensive players say today that they did not prepare for Bama's passing game, they focused on the running of Trent Richardson. If that is the case I think that the defense adjusted well under the circumstances, especially when the passes where all thrown near the sidelines for quick outs. That is credit to Coach Chavis for having the defense prepared to make the adjustments.

I don't know how I feel about miles right now.
Lee of the bench is a very effective lee.
Jj got the benifit of coming of the bench the last Alabama game
I really think JL could of done much better

How could you practice for five weeks and not spend time in the passing game?

If the players are feeling that way during the game, and everyone watching felt the same, then that leaves Miles all by himself.

quote:CLM must have believed Bama would be totally predictable and go to their strength (TR). But Nick Saban isn't that predictable, except you will always know his defenses will be ready and will be STRONG. How did CLM, Krag and Stud prepare this team to face the kind of withering defensive pressure that was inevitable for a Saban coached team to bring to bear?

Crappy coaching and game preparations.
Miles was fricking so stupid he thought the game plan would not change and AL would just run the ball.
Stupid SOB should have yanked JJ after the 2nd series, put Lee in the game running a no huddle 2 minute offense from the shotgun. AL would have broken just like they did against UTAH. WHY? Because they knew Miles would play not to lose instead of playing to win. If Miles had gone against their expectations, we may have gotten better results.
Miles played right into Saban's hands.
