ESPN wants that Thanksgiving night game. I'd imagine that's a huge slot for them.

What's the old cliche' about the best deals? No one got everything they wanted?
This is the closest thing to logical and "fit" that I've seen so far.
From one POV AR is having to give something up when they aren't even involved. But you never know. Only real downside for them is a quite late bye week. Would play us and UF in reverse order, 1 week earlier than planned.
I will be waiting for UF's excuse to turn down any option proposed by LSU however. With what we've seen so far, and now knowing what we know with Sankey... if Foley sees no consequences coming their way I really don't put it past them to continue trying to take a mile when anyone gives and inch.

We should demand or take the forfeit. Don't bow to these fricks. We did everything possible to play this game and we are being painted as the bad guys. Don't ask anything. Demand, and deal with whatever happens.

we have a solid argument if we are to travel and then go on a short week. I think we agreed to the game based on we could set up a rent a win at home before going on a short week.

I like it. It would be easier to move our game with Arkansas than to move the WLOCP, a neutral-site game already set for TV. Florida still has to buy out Presbyterian and loses that home game, but that's the price they pay.

Why are some of you so out of touch with reality?
Yes, Florida blew this thing. In every way imaginable. But this is the real world, where calculated decisions must be made. We have to make a decision for LSU and the conference as a whole, when it comes to business and competitive balance.
Just because there was incompetence on one side doesn't mean we should get into a pissing match. Let's be better than them, handle this with class, salvage our home game with South Alabama, and then beat Florida's arse in The Swamp on November 19th.

this is not going to happen because too many schools and fans have already made plans - it will end up being Nov 19th with the South Ala game canceled. The A&M game may be moved to Sat. This is how it will play out.

LSU shouldn't have to accommodate the SEC or Florida when everyone should have been actively involved at the negotiating table to reschedule the game to either Sunday or Monday of this weekend. Stop short selling your program for cheap resolutions. Quit bending over to please others because they will never do it for you.

Coaches interested in our job will be watching to see how alleva stands up for lsu. Do what's best for lsu. Not this shitty conference.
