Play Florida on November 19th... Keep South Alabama home game

LSU and Arkansas have the same bye week. Move LSU @ Arkansas up to October 29th.
LSU @ Florida on November 19th in Gainesville.
South Alabama @ LSU on November 12th. South Alabama's has a bye on November 12th.
Under this scenario, LSU plays the game on November 19th in Gainesville, and keeps their home game with South Alabama on November 12th. Also, we would avoid three straight SEC road games to end the regular season.
Yes, we would lose our bye week before the Alabama game. However, we have lost four games in a row to the Tide with our bye week before that game. Maybe trying something new wouldn't be the end of the world.
Also, we would have a home game against an OOC opponent the week after Alabama to recover from what will surely be a very physical game.
The tough part will be moving the Arkansas game up two weeks. It works, in theory. It's the logistics of the situation that would be tougher, with Arkansas having to move a home game, and also switching their bye week to later in the season.
Sankey made it clear that it was up to the entire SEC to make this work. It would inconvenience Arkansas, but it wouldn't be a huge detriment to any team.
I'm just trying to take a look at some realistic scenarios to get the LSU/Florida game played, and this is the one I keep coming back to.

This may be the most reasonable solution I've seen.

Something has to happen, I could see this happening... hopefully

Lets do it.

That is better than anything I have seen previously. But you can bet Arkansas does NOT want to do that and give up their huge advantage over us (the one they have playing us right after we play our hearts out versus bama)

and move aggie game back to Saturday

This could actually be an improvement for us. Arky and LSU are also playing less pound the rock football so we may not even be that physically drained for the Bama game.

Have a down vote. Florida forfeits.

It sounds bad to say, but with Arkansas not being a conference blue blood, it might be easier to make this happen.
The more I think about it, moving the Florida/Georgia game is pretty unrealistic. The Cocktail party is a huge event.

I'm trying to be realistic. Sorry if that disappoints anyone.

RA'd for sticky. Best idea I've heard.

I like this idea. It puts arky before bama so we probably beat them and the weather will be better in october than mid nov.

Arkansas' new bye week would be November 12th. It's pretty late in the season, but they do finish with back-to-back conference road games. So maybe a bye before that stretch wouldn't be too terrible for them, either.

and we should ask for the a&m game moved to saturday since we are traveling the week before.

Listen, this is nothing personal, but I cannot respect this opinion given the circumstances.
Why in the history of this conference would we want to set a precedent like this. That precedent is that every single thing in the entire universe starting last Saturday was that Gainesville was going to be adversely impacted by this storm. Surely we can all agree to this.
LSU made every effort to accommodate FL in moving the game to BR, neutral site, delay game to SUN/MON, neutral site and still the knothead at FL sticks his head in arse for some unknown reason and refuses to budge.
Then tops it off with a Thurs afternoon late presser saying the storm "surprisingly" took a westward turn early Thursday morning. Just how stupid does he think the world outside of FL is? Every spaghetti model showed it tracking right off the coast of eastern FL.
And FL should get away with this and everyone else adjust to accommodate their total and disgraceful failure to stand-up and be counted at the right time. If there was any character in that university, they would issue an apology to LSU and the SEC for their delays and accept forfeiture of the game, end of story.
Screw FL Demand forfeiture of the game!
