Did you take your TD screen name from Chris Cotton pitching for LSU?

Partially. I’m also a cotton farmer and Cotton Was King is a Widespread Panic song

I want to see the pretzel you twist yourself into explaining to any reasonable person how Chris's cotton was king in summer 2011..
I asked him a question. His answer may be totally unrelated to Chris Cotton.

Why don't you wait until he answers my question before you start assuming everyone on this board is a racist?

Then again, that's your usual mindset. Proving once again you're the real racist on here.....

Sorry to derail the thread but since its turning into a pm thread anyway... would this be a good place to admit about two weeks ago I had to ask someone, a person I trust AND respect, to explain the strike zone to me?

I wasnt sure if a strike was at the shoulders or the chest. But now I am well informed guys.

How can, in summer of 2011, you pretend that cotton was king, as in Chris cotton. I'm not as gullible as you. Its an obvious reference to American slavery. Its obvious that you are trying to provide cover for the username. Try your passive aggressive line on someone else. It doesnt even make sense.

You're right, he created his user name to make it known to everyone he endorses slavery

You really need to take this bullshite elsewhere

Given the level of talent of the home plate umpires we typically have for LSU games, if you don't watch much other baseball, it would be unreasonable to expect you to learn the strike zone without help.

I wish coaches at the college and pro level would speak out more against travel ball.

College coaches want to maintain good relationships with HS coaches.

HS coaches, especially assistant coaches, moonlight as travel ball coaches, often for pay.

Most aren't going to blow up that relationship.

I have a way bigger problem with showcases than travel ball.

Perfect Game needs to die a quick death

Ok finally we agree. Because millionaire coaches are lazy and just want to recruit at these showcases, as opposed to old fashioned leg work, things like perfect game thrive and contribute to 'arm soreness'.

so how does that specifically point the finger at LSU, Mainieri, and Dunn? Which, of course, has been your stance...that they are doing something differently and that LSU pitchers suffer arm injuries at a higher rate than other programs, a stance you have yet to back up with anything other than your baseless opinion.

And it has nothing to do with coaches being lazy. College coaches didn't create these travel teams or these showcases. Coaches could say they hate them all they want, but that won't make them go away. And it's not just college coaches that scout players there. There are just as many, if not more, MLB scouts that evaluate players at these showcases. What he was saying is that it would moronic to sour relationships with the coaches for high school players. They need good relationships with these coaches to recruit the talent necessary to win.

And wtf do you mean "old fashioned leg work"? They're still putting in the same leg work, but instead of going to high schools to scout players, they are going to showcases and high schools to scout players. And these same types of showcases happen in football and basketball too. If a college coach chooses not to see how these players perform against more elite competition than they see in high school games, then they wouldn't be doing their jobs in evaluating the players they're recruiting.
