Money against Kennesaw.

Think about it. He dominated out of conference early.

Hilliard/floyd in 2nd game

Floyd/hilliard to win in finals....

All of our best bull pen ready

If we can't beat Kennesaw with Money on the mound , we won't win the regional anyways cause we would be out of pitching late tbw...

Somehow people think Kennesaw state are not that good. They are the 3 and played a really hard schedule still managing a bunch of wins.

not sayin that at all. "We are LSU", that's what I'm saying. If we don't try to plan Hilliard and Floyd in the latter games we won't win tourney anyways. If we go to loser's bracket, we are even more screwed. Jmo. Go with Money in game 1....

Last year we won a big a regional we weren't supposed too, the difference was we had 2 soldiers on the hill(marceaux and labas too go with hilliard) we don't have this year that potential starting depth.

It’s a regional opponent, of course they are going to be good and ready to play. That being said, these dudes carry a staff ERA over 6 in the Atlantic sun conference.

Don’t need a legendary pitching outing, just have to keep these dudes from scoring more than 5 runs

No costly errors and tigers will advance.

Kennesaw has given up double-digits to anyone with a pulse. LSU should win with any pitcher that can throw strikes.

I know it’s baseball and anybody can win, but if I’m coach I’d start Money.

They did put up 22 runs in 2 games vs UGA losing 17-15 and 10-7. Not too bad

Beat plenty of teams way better than us. Lost to plenty of teams way worse than.

That’s baseball.

I don’t know about Money but I would save Hilliard and Floyd for Southern Miss. Southern Miss is better than what most fans on this board gives them credit for.

I’d throw Dutton game 1. Hilliard game 2. Floyd game 3. Use Money if needed for game 4.

They lost to Georgia 17-15 and lost to Auburn 14-1 in their only 2 games against SEC opponents

With how Vetmyer pitched I wouldn’t be against throwing him with short leash of could. He pitched damn good against Tennessee

The part of the equation you are missing is that the other schools are going to start running out of pitchers later in the weekend too. Yes, they are going to have to win at least one game with someone other than Hilliard or Floyd, but it’s going to be more likely to happen going up against another team’s 3rd or 4th starter rather than their ace. LSU’s best shot to win the regional is going to be going 3-0 (or at least advancing to the final through the winners’ bracket.) Winning their first two games is most important. They have to throw their best in the first two to maximize the likelihood of doing so.

I’m sure they weren’t pitching their weekend starters in those games either. That tells us nothing about how their weekend guys would do.

They played UGA twice. 17-15 and 10-7 losses.

I don’t know that it would be Money, but whoever it is I would prefer them pitching against the other team’s #4 pitcher in the final rather than against KSU’s ace in Game 1. The key is getting to the finals in the first place. If you don’t trust a third pitcher there, then you are putting even making the finals at risk by pitching them first.
