The band plays those once a game and if you don't like when the students are singing living on a prayer than you have no soul.

what's the worst is when LOAP is sung at the beginning of a crucial play in the 4th quarter

I never get tired of the band. They are the best in the nation, but a couple piped in songs won't kill a fella.

and as far as "Old" people annoying you, you are one f***ed up individual!

Maybe you wouldn't be so annoying if you didn't complain about piped in music.

Maybe I am old. I never thought I'd say that at 28. when I hear the drums and the horns, it gets me pumped up. when I hear, "drop that arse", I just think that should stay in the club. God bless.

Then why are you so uptight?

I've never heard the words "drop that arse" in Tiger Stadium

I think it's fine the way it is. Band playing most of the time with a little bit of piped in music in between to mix it up. What's wrong with that? It's not like the band is going anywhere there would be riots.

BTW how many more times is this topic gonna be brought up?

I think there was less piped in music in 2009 than in 2008. anybody else agree?

Significantly less during the game...yes, it that's a good thing.

Uptight? I don't care about piped music. I guess I was a little over the top with "drop that arse", but I always thought the LSU band motivated the hell out of everyone.

I get chills when I think about the sounds and songs of the Golden Band. The band is one of the things that gives college football (and college basketball FWIW) such a unique and different feel from the pros.

All that said, I don't have a problem with the piped in music to fill in some "dead space" throughout the game. I thought LSU did a good job in the 2009 season of playing songs that keep the crowd revved up when the band wasn't playing.

And to the guy who said the band gets boring after THREE straight years going to games, ... I've been going to LSU games since 1999, home and away, and the band never gets old. I get more pumped hearing our band on the road than I do in Tiger Stadium.

You should start up a field turf/grass in Tiger Stadium thread as well. That'll keep'em busy.
