Not always…. things changed.. in old days Greeks had party with bands at their house after the games.. and pre party at house before.. this actually kept us out of others way pre game .. and we trashed ( and cleaned) our own property.. and stayed till end of the game since the band and jungle juice was being prepared at the house..
But we were legal drinkers at 18.

I think the responses really proves my point that we really have a new or changed fan base that aren’t really that much “into the Death Valley” experience, compared to 20 years ago. Again, it’s not just staying the whole game, but truly wanting to be there and truly wanting to contribute to the passion, tradition and history as a fan base that is engaged and rowdy.

That’s because we had to wait in line outside of the stadium at 4 o’clock in the afternoon for the gates to open and actually get in to get a seat.

I remember growing up going to games was the best thing to do. Everyone had their tailgate set up as far as you could see. The games were loud and if you thought about leaving early don't bother showing up.
It isn't like that anymore. Corporate tailgates have really taken over near the stadium. As for inside, it's become more of a party than a football game for the students while the older die hards don't want to put up with that. It's a "look at me I came to the game" type selfie for the students. Add in ticket prices and this is what you get. Sure TS gets rocking for a top 10 matchup but every SEC game should have TS rocking all 4Q.
