I applied for up to 4 season tix this year, as a first-time season ticket holder. Assuming I qualify to purchase season tix (I know it's not a lock), can I expect decent seats in the lower bowl? and 2 seats or 4?

Here's my status as of April 2, 2012.

Priority Point Rank: 3,605
Priority Points: 42.1500
Philanthropic Priority Point Rank: 1,405
Philanthropic Priority Points: 42.1500 :geauxtigers:

Why on God's green Earth would you have all of these points and not ever have season tickets?

Made some catch-up TAF contributions in 2011 and 2012 + wife and I always gave to the LSU Foundation. Turns out you get partial TAF points for Foundation contributions.

I am at 3,506

I started by donating $100 per year in 2006 with only. Got 4 season tickets in the West Upper the first year with only 3.1 points. That was after the Katrina/Rita selloff. I have stayed in the same spot because we love the people we are sitting next to and don't want to take the risk of ending up next to some random assholes.

If you got on the waiting list before 3/31 you are a lock to get season tickets. Depending on where you want to sit. You will likely be able to get tickets on sidelines. You might be able to get NEZ or SEZ but it depends on renewals.

damn good plan...I "upgraded" a couple of years ago and am now by some fricksticks from Chalmette...I'm pretty much miserable at every game that I can't find seats to move to...if I ever get around a crowd I like again, I'll never move....

I'm at 3,496 this year. Pretty much stayed within the same 100 spots the last couple seasons. I got tickets after the 2009 season in the south upper, they are piggy backs, but great seats and IMO better than having 2 together in the upper decks.

Whats a reasonable Phil point event I could donate to this year? I'm still kind of unsure on which qualify and fairly new to it. Thanks.

Yeh, I've done gold past 2 years(grad in '10). Looking to numb my points more by philanthropy donations. My question is do all donations start at $1000 to get 1 point?

No, call and talk to them - there are things you can donate and get 2pts per 1k, and others only get you 1p per 1k.

I called and talked with them and I just give to the General Scholarship Fund - which gets 2pts per 1k.

Check with TAF to be sure, but the answer is YES. 1 TAF point generally costs $1K, except you can get 3 points every year for making a $100 annual gold contribution TAF. The only way to get points for less than $1K is to give at the $5K level. That level of giving will give you 2 points per $1K ($5K x 2 = 10 points).

If its a philanthropic donation its 2 points per 1K. Anything you give to TAF with nothing in return is considered philanthropic; I donated to preserve death valley.

If you ever give a donation of 1K or more, contact TAF and ask them where they want the money going. Once you donate to a project, they have to use it for that project even though they need the money for a different one.
