Yep...just re-read that email. It seems that you have to eat the 5k to make any real progress.

At this point if you are giving the 100 you probably are going to keep being ranked the same and SOL? $5,000 or gtfo

Always give 100 every year to maintain status and get the 3 bonus points, then make the big donation as suggested by the other poster. In the 7 years as a member, I have given a total of 800 bucks. If a johnny come lately fan joins taf tomorrow and gives $5,000, I would still be ranked ahead of him because of my loyalty points, even though he blew me out the water money wise.

After having this all explained to me by TAF (and scenarios), I must admit I like the system they use for distributing new tickets.

My points keep going up with my donations. I'm at 6600 points so I don't understand the rankings people are talking about. Where do you find those?

That is probably your ranking. Just because you donate doesn't mean you move up. People behind you could donate more. Sign into TAF and it gives you your points and ranking on the first page you get after that.

Nah man. Just tired of spending crazy loot to buy other people's tickets(and boosting their priority points). Just bit the bullet and hope to pay off that credit card by the EOY.

I have stayed in the same spot because we love the people we are sitting next to and don't want to take the risk of ending up next to some random assholes.

yeah I am going to stay the course- I shifted to giving to alumni associations or I would probably be at the 20 point range. I think they should give more credit for alumni association and lsu foundation giving

It ranks you out of 13,871 but I have a hard time believing there are only 13k participating in TAF.

I was given this info from someone at TAF, regarding the 2011 new season tickets and the corresponding Philanthropic Ranking. The last pair of new sideline lower bowl tix had Philanthropic ranking of under 500. The last north ends were around 900 ranking, south end around 2700 ranking, and the last pair of east uppers were around 3900.

False... I was at 4,022 last year and got 4 seats in the East uppers (side by side).
