I wish taxes worked that way.

I went from 3915 to 3858.

I am 4890- not sure where I was last year

It is like I am a casual fan.

I have given about 1,000 to the alumni association that has netted me all of .2 points.

My priority is 6841 and Philantropic is 3832

I have one seat in SEZ, and have had it for about 5 years now. Been trying to add another one and it has been impossible. I put in to maybe move my seat in the SEZ this year.

Not sure what I was last year, but I'm at Phil 3585 this year....22.25 Phil points. I got a call last year and only singles were avilable in the lower bowl. I believe pairs in the upper were available too.

Unless I start giving $5000 a year (which I haven't to this point been able to pull the trigger on), I feel like my regular priority point ranking is never going to rise. Fortunately, we're good on season tix now in the NEZ, but unfortunately the ranking that matters to us now is the regular one (which is used for away tickets/bowl tickets/etc.). The philanthropic is only good for new season tickets/waitlist....I wish they used philanthropic for everything.

You need to be giving that 1000 to TAF philanthropic and get 2 points. The alumni association donations get you 1 point per 4000 donated I believe.

I'm at 4882 FWIW.

Philanthropic is for new tickets only.
Priority is for Bowls/Away/BCS.

Luckily I got my 2 in SEZ in 1998, then added 2 more around 2005 next to my current ones (before priority points started). Feels like I own beach front property by mistake since my rankings are so bad. Thanks Gerry Dinardo for having a bad season the same year I graduated LSU.

I am at 3,506

I started by donating $100 per year in 2006 with only. Got 4 season tickets in the West Upper the first year with only 3.1 points. That was after the Katrina/Rita selloff. I have stayed in the same spot because we love the people we are sitting next to and don't want to take the risk of ending up next to some random assholes.

I feel like I'm in the same boat as you. Though I did start with joining the Collegiate Club while in undergrad. I was on the waiting list for the 2005 season but in 2006 I was able to get 4 in the West Upper and kept them since. I've requested to get upgraded even within the WU but no luck yet. Though I have been told if I want to either go down to 2, split my 2 or add 2 I can get some in an upgraded location. I kind of like having 4 tickets together though. Though having bad tickets to bad games kind of weeds out the moochers. I have people claim they'll take a ticket to any game I can't make or not using all 4. But when it's someone like Idaho or Western Kentucky they suddenly can't be bothered with it.

I was given this info from someone at TAF, regarding the 2011 new season tickets and the corresponding Philanthropic Ranking. The last pair of new sideline lower bowl tix had Philanthropic ranking of under 500. The last north ends were around 900 ranking, south end around 2700 ranking, and the last pair of east uppers were around 3900. How similar this year's numbers end up will of course depend on demand. I see where someone with over 4000 was offered a single.

At this point if you are giving the 100 you probably are going to keep being ranked the same and SOL?

$5,000 or gtfo

The theory is, if you are treading water, you should save up for 5 years and attempt to hurdle past the steady givers at your level, using the extra bonus points at the higher tier. However, do that long enough, and you will step down as the 20th year rolls off (and will happen every 5 years). However, you can't be pushed out of seats, so the "hurdle up" theory is the correct way to play the game.

Ace -

Good theory on the hurdle, because my 100 a year isn't moving me.

Yeah, you pretty much have to give the $100 until you can afford $5000 (at one time). You lose virtually nothing in waiting, and whereas the $1000 a year (over your $100 Gold) gives you 2 points (assuming 100% to Philanthropic) a year x5, or 10 points (over and above your 3 per year), going $5000 in 5 years buys you 17 total (over and above your 3 per year), a 70% premium.

(And it's possible my numbers are messed up because I always forget to deduct the 3 points out of the $5k tier bonus - you get 3 points anyway, for $100, but you get at least 4 points for $5k at one time, or a 40% premium).

Philanthropic Priority Point Rank: 1,405

Damn you're a balla huh. My Priority is only 7184, Philanthropic is 4014. And I probably won't pay off my pledge until Nov or Dec. Les and JJ pissed me off back in January, so I'm not in a hurry to donate or pay off the pledge.

My points keep going up with my donations. I'm at 6600 points so I don't understand the rankings people are talking about. Where do you find those?

I was at 3882 after my normal $900 TAF and additional $100. I had to give another 1k for 2 additional points to get to ~3412. I'm thinking about giving them another 1k to drop some more. It's ridiculous but I really want to get the A&M tickets.

When is the deadline to contribute for 2012 priority points?
