What else was he going to do, get in a shouting match in an airport?

Tyson Jackson takes approx. 75% of all plays off but he still started over Rahim ALem-Jones. And that's a lack of effort/heart issue which is WAAAAYYY less excusable than a lack of talent but gives his all issue.

One of the starters at CB last year was grossly inadequate but JE (who out-performed when given the chance) and Phelon (who never got a chance to show what he could do) sat. The list gets really long once you get into players who quit on the team or quit on themselves, etc. but still kept getting undeserved/unearned PT though there were promising younger guys just begging for a shot.

Pure speculation and your opinion. Do not state it like its fact.

I cannot imagine Les giving him a release to play for another SEC team. What happens if you don't get a release?

You lose two years of eligibility rather than one.

I believe Phelon has already been granted his release. Chris Smelley was given a release from Spurrier when he transferred to Bama although it appears that he will only be playing baseball there.

Was he redshirted one year?

He'll lose 1 year in the transfer.

How much will he have left?

Also, how much of an in impact is he likely to make w/ all this time away from real game football?

well isnt it a scientific fact that every member of this board is at least a foot taller than every other member of society, and also much wealthier?

Someone save that tidefans thread where they were bashing him because he's "not good enough for LSU" so he'll fit right in at Auburn.

Another Prima Donna. Maybe he patches things up with Auburn. If not, Go talk to Kiffin. He had his chance to come here. havent seen many Bama fans excited about him possibly coming.
In short, no thanks.

Easy there Screech, I don't think he has been a problem for anyone at LSU. I would take him no doubt.

He has not been away from football, he is just buried at the bottom of the depth chart. But I think you mean gametime action and yes he has played at times for LSU.

And have you not seen how deep LSU is in the defensive backfield. Alabama is not quite as deep as LSU is. BTW no where did I say he is transferring to Bama in order to start. At LSU right now he is at most the fifth best corner on the roster.

For the most part, Bama's been signing recruits that LSU does not recruit, so it would make sense that they would take current players that LSU doesn't want also. We should call them
Left-Over-U.
