Interesting stat that shows Joe Burrow>Stidham.

I kid, I kid.

It does however show that Joe is accurate enough to win us some games if we can protect him.

They take out drops, throw aways, batted balls, and throws where he was hit as he threw.

This is 100% true. We may not move the ball like gangbusters, but with our defense we can score enough points to be in the thick of these big games.

and our oline to block. He has had a number of bad passes due to being hit as he is throwing.

In other words if you take away all the incompetions, he's completing 100% of his passes

No

QBs also Miss WRs

Overthrows, underthrows, inaccurate passes

But it adjust for passes like that ball Dillon dropped that hit him in he hands or when Joe got smoked and the ball clearly came out in a way other than intended.

drops, throwaways, batted balls, and hit as the QB throws. Burrow has 14 of these on 44 attempts which is waaaay too high. The next highest in the SEC is Jake Bentley with 9 of these plays but he has 76 attempts.

The 76.5 adj completion % means that JB is basically missing 23.5% of his throws and the rest of his incompletions are due to other factors.

Obviously we have a lot of room for improvement on the Oline and WRs.

7. JOE BURROW, LSU, 76.5%
LSU’s new quarterback has already seen five drops from 54 dropbacks, with five throwaways, three batted passes and one play where he was hit as thrown hurting his completion percentage too.

I can remember at least 2 plays where he was hit when he threw. One against Miami on the play when Magee got hurt and one against SLU.
