Felt like chicken strips last year and did a search for "best chicken strips in Houston". On Yelp, B4-U-Eat and Zagat all had Whataburger at the top, Carl's Jr was highly rated and then they had sit-down restaurants. Cane's was there but way down the lists.

The true test was when my nephew and his wife came over from Louisiana to buy an enclosed car trailer. They stayed with me and wanted chicken strips. Where he lives he has to drive 30 or more miles to Alexandria to get Cane's and used to do it frequently. We did Whataburger drive thru close to my house. Now he says he drives to Jasper to go to WB's. The next closest WB to them is Shreveport so they have to drive to Texas.

He's from Louisiana and I have never seen anyone as nuts over chicken strips as him. That's why I asked about BR. Seems like the most popular food in the state of Louisiana is chicken strips.

One could get that idea from this thread.

I'll let you in on a little secret. Whatabuger has some of the best cinnamon rolls also. A few years ago while leaving Destin we did our annual stop at Whataburger north of Niceville at I-10. I got a couple trays of the rolls for snacks on the drive.

We stopped again in Alabama at a rest area. People were saying if they had eaten them sooner that we would have turned around to get more. The people I go with live in La and don't have WB's close to them.

We used to get Mom's cinnamon rolls from the mall in Alec anytime someone went. the closest thing I have found to them is WB's. They are expensive but big, delicious and well worth it.

shite Ree. You killing me. I'm an anally healthy eater, but have VERY little will power when it comes to cinnamon rolls. Making want to go grab one now!

Obviously not as good as what you're talking about, but I used to get these every morning before work with a big coke. No wonder I was fat.

I have a daiquiri place close by with a drive thru. I have never been because I'm afraid they may have a banana one. When I go to Louisiana I usually get he banana daiquiri and it tastes like a banana popsicle but better, add a little brown rum and DAMN !!! If the one close by has them I don't even want to know. I could potentially gain a lot of weight.

If you have a WB, will power and can just get them periodically and are a big fan cinnamon rolls try them. If you don't have a lot of will power you may have to be like me and MY daiquiri place I have never been to.
