mean...we could have called whatever we wanted, Jefferson probably still would have A. Checked out of it, B. not thrown the football.

or C. Peterson would get scared and get aligator arms!

I'm picking C

I think you are correct. That is what most of the fans I've talked with believe too.

Les Miles should have at least called his seniors to check up on them. The lack of communication between he and the graduated players is something that will come back to haunt Les.

I bet there was a strong emphasis to not turn over the ball. Just makes one wonder how much conservatism the QB play also added to the grand scheme of things. Les did mention that pass plays were called down the field but we didn't execute them well.

This is exactly why most fans are so pissed. We know something wasn't right about the game because the plays that were called were terrible. My opinion- JJ couldn't execute them, so they got conservative.

and if that's the case, which obviously was, why not JL or Mett ???

“I thought we were going to run all the plays we had been practicing up to that time,” the 6-foot-3, 230-pounder said. “We really wasn’t calling none of it. We might call a couple of plays we worked on, but as for the whole game plan, I don’t think we really used it.”
The criticism by Jimbo Fischer on Miles, was the game plan would change during the game. That's what happened Jan. 9.

These guys should take the lead from JL, take the high road. Be a man and move on, no matter how much of a legimate bitch you may have, you can't help but sound like a bitter player making excuses. ...... nothing positive will come for an individual or the program will come from this crap

LM gets the tiger's share of the blame for that offensive abortion.

Some of you want to bash him for his comments, but most everyone wants to know the same thing.

Why they practiced one thing for weeks and abandoned it at the last second for that catostrophic disaster

i dont think peterson like shep ever got a chance, we dont throw enough to our playmakers, thats why i hated JJ playing QB, he took away carries from RB's and catches from all our studs....i think Clement is better then peterson, but had peterson been thrown too, i think he would have had a great career, i think if he had luck throwing to him he would be going in the 3rd-5th round of the draft...

Yeah, I don't give a rats if Miles doesn't spend time with players who's eligibility is gone. Some coaches prefer to have that connection, Miles may not.

I thought he did pretty darn well last year. Probably was JJ's main receiver. Reason why expectations for him were that high this year.

i just don't see how anyone could even defend miles. Love the guy personally, but anyone who knows anything about football knows that this game was one of the poorest coaching in a big time game in the history of college football. SMH

what a dumb statement !

It is players from the past that help build the future of any program that wants to achieve longevity and consistency. One positive word from a past player is worth hundreds of words from a recruiting coach.
