And LSU will roll Miami by 2+ touchdowns. LINK

I would think that this is a pretty bold prediction, But I like the optimism from the BR native.

Personally, think itll be a low scoring defensive battle.

10-14 LSU

Love the optimism and I agree LSU takes this one.

However, to say this is the biggest opening game for LSU in the last decade is a little nuts, Oregon in 2011 was 3 vs 4. Definitely the biggest since then.

5 upvotes and an “I love Pete!”

If he says Auburn beats us by 14, he will immediatley become an ESPN shill.

I think he is calling it the biggest based upon the state of the program. in 2011 if LSU loses to Oregon the program would have been fine and they still win 10 games. If LSU loses to Miami things can run off the rails fast.

I think lsu wins fairly easily as well. just a gut feeling, I think they will struggle mightily against our D.

If the offense is effective, we could blow them out.

In Mark Richts history against LSU has there ever been a defensive battle?

I think Peter means biggest as in most important for the national brand.

Looking at the replies just show how clueless Miami fans are outside of their program. Which is probably why they think every player is the best in the country at the position they play.

I understand where you and likely him are coming from, but most people still like us to lose 4-5 games this year in the SEC. I don't think winning one game against a (personal opinion) overrated Miami team will mean much 5 weeks into the year.

8 SEC schools could win 10 games with that schedule

He crushed Miami too lol claiming any SEC school would trade schedule with Miami.

Bold preseason prediction from a Baton Rouge native...

I'll be super happy with a 14-13 or 38-37 win...

2003 LSU vs Georgia 17-10 would be classified as a defensive battle

2009 LSU @ Georgia 20-13 was also a pretty poor offensive game until the last 5 minutes of that game.

I’d say LSU Wisconsin was bigger.

Two teams ranked higher, Lambeau Field, and it could make or break our NC hopes, not to mention basically decide Miles’ fate week 1.
