Arkansas loses to Georgia
Ole Miss loses to Florida
Auburn loses to South Carolina
Alabama loses to Miss State

So, with 9 SEC games remaining, LSU is only 2 games back of the final spot for Hoover (Ole Miss/Auburn) and 3 games back of 1st place in SEC West (Bama/Arky). Along with passing MissSt, LSU needs to pass only one of the four aforementioned teams (Ole Miss/Auburn/Bama/Arky)to make the SEC tourney. And Ole Miss plays South Carolina next weekend, Arkansas plays Florida, and Auburn plays Georgia.

Yeah, just checked the scores, we've gotten everything we could've hoped for this weekend..

Arkansas will have their hands full with Florida and Ole Miss takes on South Carolina after getting swept by the Gators.

It will be tough to keep place with Miss St this weekend as they host an awful Tennessee team.

Yeah, but I was actually rooting for State. I don't mind being 1 game behind state considering we play them in the final series. After this weekend, it's not unrealistic to think we've got a legitimate shot at winning the West given that we play Bama and Arky has a killer schedule coming up.

I'm just glad that we are within striking distance of FIVE different teams, only needing to pass two of them.

Obviously, a series win in Alabama is huge. Not sure if they can sweep, though.

LSU is definitely catching them at the right time. Bama is 3-10 in their last 13 SEC games after starting out 7-1.

Yeah, 2of3 at Bama should be the goal. If we get the sweep, great, but just go win the series and that will put us in a good position with only 6 league games remaining.

We needed Mississippi State to win. It keeps Alabama closer.

We would have been 2 games out of 8th no matter what (Behind Auburn and Ole Miss).

Yeah I fixed it pretty much before your post. I forgot exactly what the standings were. Alabama was in 8th before Saturday.

It's still for the best keeping Alabama closer.

I am happy we took care of business against Kentucky like we should have. At this point, I'm still not getting my hopes up too much for SEC tourney yet. For me, if we continue to figure some things out and see positive signs for next season then that is enough; anything else is just an added bonus.
