Can anyone put this in layman’s terms?

Jimbo just soiled himself.

But jimbo said they STILL don’t pay athletes and he has no idea what we’re talking about
And he thinks 8 and 4 will win him champions

What interview did YOU listen to? Because I heard what he said to Moscona and all he said was NCAA was going to issue guidelines to rules already in place regarding Booster involvement. He also said that Staffing and AntiTrust concerns would make enforcement reality highly unlikely.

I know I shouldn’t be surprised given that it’s the NCAA, but the way they just allowed it without any kind of regulatory framework already in place is dumbfounding.
They didn’t just put the cart first; they shot the horse.

Enforcement is the problem - the NCAA is about to be in a head-on collision w/ massive AntiTrust issues. You can draw all the lines in the sand you want, if you can’t push back, it’s pointless.
THAT’S what a Delly was explaining. It’s all a big nothing burger.

I'd love to see a school like Harvard or Yale with these really rich boosters come in and sign 4 or 5 top 100 prospects and then dominate that league

There is no way they can stop a recruiter from saying “Little Johnny on the team has a million dollar deal from us. I can’t legally give it to you now but once you are on the team....”

Scrambling? They lost the suit and said ok NIL is now available have at it.
This is after spending millions fighting it.

This is a can a worms that got out! They’ll have to give a few schools the death penalty so others won’t take chances.

Didnt take Jimbo and A&M long to ruin something that was probably met to help give college kids some spending money

NCAA gold medal gymnastics couldn't put it back. The conferences will have to clamp this down.

It's disgusting the way it is applied at some institutions...
