Clemson watching game film on all players from last year. Someone says “wait he got ejected there? Rewind that. We should look into that. Makes a call to a buddy at Houston, Oh looky there”.

After the safety play last year, I love that we brought in two guys who got ejected. We need enforcers back there. Clemson is still a bitch though.

Baker stated Haulcy was one of the most instinctive players he ever had and player was very impressive.
Dandy Don notes on 8/29 that Spears will start.
Hope Spears has game of his life cause I’m sure Clemson gameplan will be picking on him directly ; at least for the 1st Half !!

Assuming that’s what happened, is it not concerning that no one at LSU thought to do the same after knowing one of its star portal transfers who LSU no doubt knew was ejected from its last game for throwing multiple punches, getting separated, then running through an official to throw more punches ?
Believing there tj be some Clemson conspiracy - it makes no sense to me that the Clemson coaching g staff watched a video of a player throwing numerous punches and knew there had to be a suspension in effect, but that it never raised a red flag at LSU.
I’ve watched the Cooley video. I’ve watched the Haulcy video. It’s really easy to objectively see one being called fighting and the other not.

AGAIN
His official listing was that it was unsportsmanship foul...no suspension. Only the Big 12 and Houston knew this apparently (and probably Clemson had some buddies on Houston staff and Houston wanted to frick LSU).
What exactly was LSU supposed to do?

Somebody needs to be looking at sports bets placed in Houston (who sat in info til last week) and Clemson (too lazy to look up the city where it’s located). Somebody pushed this to make a few bucks after lines were set imo

Clemson. I’m sure they were watching film….
That would be odd for Clemson to have watched more film on a player they’re about to play, versus LSU who offered the kid a spot on their team.
Something doesn’t jive here.
I would blame it on the NCAA for not making LSU aware of suspension earlier in the year.

Hanigriff just said it best. LSU has more support staff than players. LSU simply put missed it. Everyone knows the rules. The video shows multiple punches thrown. The staff simply put missed it. And Kelly is furious the staff missed it. He said - don’t blame Houston. Don’t blame Clemson. Everyone knows the rules. LSU missed it.
It’s nice to see not everyone drinks purple and gold Kool-aid. My problem with our society today is people’s constant failure to take personal responsibility for their mistakes. The post on this board the last 24 hours where everyone wants to blame anyone and everyone but LSU - simply because the potential negative consequence the suspension may have on the outcome of the game - is really sad.

If Houston never told Haulcy he was going to be suspended they can get fricked.

Would we have recruited Haulcy if we knew of his suspension, hell yes. Did we pass on an equal player because he would miss 30-35 snaps all season, not a chance
Do we have guys that are ready to go, or should be...hell yes....there is literally nothing about this that makes me give a shite.
My position is we should thank Clemson, kept us from potentially trotting out an ineligible player (I assume the NCAA clears the roster for each game, but who the hell knows)
I would much rather hear this news than some vague injury, such as he was 'nicked up'. Let him sit, let him absorb, then let him give us the best second half he can play.

Who sat on what??? It's unbelievable to me that people have this grannd conspiracy that Clemson "sat on information." The whole thing reportedly came to light this Tuesday when NCState announced its games suspensions for last night's game because of a fight issue. The whole thing that triggered everything was Cooley's involvement and his ejection in that game. Clemson didn't "sit on information." Clemson didn't throw punches in a football game. Clemson didn't get enjected in a bowl game for unsportsmanlinke conduct. Clemson didn't clarify the ruling after the game to fighting. Clemson didn't send Houston a letter telling Houston that their player was suspended for the next game. Clemson didn't tell Houston not (allegedly) inform its player that it was suspended for the next game. Clemson didn't tell Houston not to reportedly tell LSU that the player it was getting from them was suspended back in December. Clemson didn't suspend the BYU player whow threw punches with Haulcy for its bowl game. Clemson had nothing to do with the announcement of the NCState players on Tuesday that they were suspended for fighting in their bowl game back in December. Clemson didn't tell LSU not to do its due diligence into whether all of its players were eligible for the first game, including finding out where any transfer portal players who were ejected in his last game for throwing punches, whether when admitting their players OR after the NCState announcements were made on Tuesday. You want to blame the NCAA for ther rule Fine. You want to blame Houston for not tellig the player (if true). Fine. You want to blame a reporter for asking questions on Tuesday (that LSU's staff quite frankly) should have been asking on Tuesday when the announcements and inquiry into Cooley were made. Fine. But creating some sort of consopiracy theiroy that Clemson somehow "sat on the info" until the last minute to get some sort of advantage on LSU just seems absurd. One thing in all of this doesn't make sense to me with all of these conspiracy theories. How and why did Clemson purportedly know about this ineliigile LSU players all thsi time but the LSU staff didn't?
You are extremely gay for taking the time required to type all of that out…go be gay on another board

LSU not to do its due diligence
“Hey remember that time you were speeding and parked illegally last year? Yeah you were issued tickets that went unpaid so you’ve been driving with a suspended license. We’re placing you under arrest.
You didn’t know about the tickets?
Ah, sorry, yeah we never told you about them, but you knew you broke the law so you should have done your “due diligence” and called to make sure.”
That’s how fricking retarded you sound.

Thank you. This dude has been melting all over the place about this because LSU "should have known" when the reality is neither LSU nor Haulcy were ever informed so they had zero reason to suspect he was suspended.

1. LSU should AT LEAST suspected a problem when it watched Haulcy's film from UH.
2. IF Haulcy knew the Big12 changed his penalty to fighting after the fact, he should have told LSU people.
3. UH should have reported the penalty since they were the only ones to whom the penalty was reported.
IMO, UH takes the majority of the blame for not reporting to LSU.
