What I don’t get is the SEC’s best chance at having two teams in the CFP is an SEC Champ LSU and 1 loss Bama.
Bama isn’t losing to anyone else. So why even go to these lengths?

I think they realize they probably aren't getting 2 teams from the same division into the playoffs. Given the choice, they want Bama.
