Okay, I never thought I would take up for that poster. BUT, they did make a post in the "tweet" thread that was very complimentary of Eaux and even took a jab at their fellow haters.

Anytime you win by 24 points over an SEC school while gaining over 600 yards of offense while only giving up 282 while having a 40 to 20 minute advantage in time of possession, it is impressive to me.
Were you saddened by the LSU performance against A&M?

LSU looked much better at the end of the year. That Miss state team and that Troy team look to be pretty good at this time.
We were a different team then. LSU could compete with anyone today. Once LSU gets a half decent QB we will win lots of games period. I think the coaches believe they have that QB but he needs some game experience and hell some first team reps will probably do him wonders. He came in late and I'm impressed that he could at least run the offense.
All he needs to do is get prepared for the speed of the game and to know which throws he can make and can't against these fast defense's. Practice will prepare him some but once the season starts he will need to be ready. No cupcakes next year to start the year which is unfortunate for him. I think our ground game will be better than most think and Canada will probably have a better set of offensive players next year to work with overall. The OL will be damn good so if LSU can somehow figure out how to get these WRs polished and the QB/WR tandem to perform at a high level together, LSU will have a great year next year.

Don't be a dumbass, of course I am happy we beat the shite out of A&M
Of course whenever someone questions something you say, you refer back to "oh you must have been mad"
Not everyone hates O, people are skeptical about where the future heads with him at the helm, its not that complicated
You people continue to lower the bar and anytime we step over the lowered bar, we have people like you applauding like it's something so miraculous when in reality its nothing that special
Do you still count the Florida win as a ranked win?

And I’m going to clarify my previous post. I didn’t expect to beat Alabama BOTH times.
I did, however, think last year was the year to beat Alabama. I posted when Miles was retained that if we didn’t win the West last season, he should have been fired.
The talent was there to beat an Alabama team with a freshman quarterback in Tiger Stadium. The coach changed, but the opportunity to beat them with a loaded veteran team at home didn’t.
Miles was fired to salvage the season and the chance to win the West while we still controlled our own destiny. O didn’t get the job done, yet got the job anyway. Weird, to once again borrow your witty banter.

A&M finished the year 7-5 and their head coach was a lame duck that was fired the day after the game. Print the shirts?

I think that the program looked like a mess and on the verge of falling apart the first several weeks. We had one great win against Auburn, and I can't take away from that. But then the rest of the games except Bama we played an historically awful SEC, and it's difficult to judge what wins against that means. You can only play the teams on your schedule so I can't really say that it's a negative, but it's also limited in how positive it is.
We'll see, but I'm not particularly optmistic.

Sorry, just wondering. You're the one who asked if A&M was an impressive win like they weren't.

Bar? I'm game. Not too long before my sports bar will be serving all you can eat crawfish on Sundays.
I don't set bars and look at what the current conditions are. If stating FACTS about Eaux being in his first year, Canada being in his first year, LSU playing over 30 freshmen and having to start 8 true freshmen - two of which are on the O-line is lowering a bar, then so be it.
I would rather do that than set unrealistic expectations and then freak out when my BS isn't met.
"You people". What people am I?

Doesn't even matter to me. I quit giving Eaux credit for last season because so many say it doesn't count because he wasn't the head coach. But there is a hater on here that gets annoyed at me because he likes to rip on what happened a year ago. I can go either way. Doesn't matter.
When I did Jimbo info recently I just used what ESPN shows. Some of the teams he played were much higher in the rankings when they played than they are now.

No my confidence is based on both lines being much better. Hopefully the QB will be as good or possibly better. Having better lines should make the QB better no matter who it is. And also the RB's, LB's and DB's will profit from having better lines.

I disagree with this statement. I think Miles was fired not only because he lost to Auburn who didn't even score a touchdown. But he lost while the team was celebrating a last second win. While the team had actually once again ran out of time on the game clock.
That and the fact that he was badly outcoached and had lied to his boss about opening up the offense.

In 2015 when everyone thought CLM was getting the boot after the A&M game. Remember him being carried off the field and the signs the fans had in the stands? LSU won. A&M didn't quit, LSU was just that much better at that time in the season.

please explain how my wonderful life is supposed to make me blind to the reality of lsu football.
just because the rest of my life is great it doesnt mean Ed Orgeron is the right coach for lsu.
thats might be the dumbest thing ive heard anyone post on here.
" Hey honey..... I got a raise, our son got into Duke, and our daughter just finished med school... DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS?"
" It means Ed Orgeron is a great coach for LSU".

Didn't say we did. LSU outgained Bama offensively and had the advantage in time of possession. That was with starting two true freshmen on the O-line.

Was impressed with the way LSU won. With two true freshmen starting on the O-line LSU racked up over 600 total yards and dominated in every other category also.

we are supposed to beat Troy.

Not a fan.
-Shellacked by Mississippi State.
-Embarrassed and outplayed by Troy.
-Won by the skin of our teeth by a crappy, one-man Syracuse team.
-We beat Florida strictly due to their kicker choking.
-We play Auburn, they beat us 9/10 times. We got lucky and faced them that one time.
-"Outplay" Alabama and they still beat us by double digits - it could have been a lot worse.
-Then we beat a bunch of teams who all fired their coaches.
A "one man" Syracuse team beat no. 1 Clemson. Florida's kicker "choked?" Our kicking hasn't set the world on fire. Furthermore, Florida had opportunities to win and LSU stopped them. We got "lucky" to come back from a 20 point deficit against Auburn? It's somehow Oeaux's fault several SEC schools fired their coaches? The irony is that you'd prefer that LSU have hired any of the coaches Oeaux defeated.
Honestly, where do you people come from? I hope you are an alter because, if not, you're a fool.
