No my confidence is based on both lines being much better. Hopefully the QB will be as good or possibly better. Having better lines should make the QB better no matter who it is. And also the RB's, LB's and DB's will profit from having better lines.

No predictions in there

Sounds like it’s Atlanta or bust then right? What happens if we don’t win the West despite such great lines that will elevate the play of everyone around them?

Miles was fired to salvage the season and the chance to win the West while we still controlled our own destiny.

I disagree with this statement

quote:

“Coach Miles has done a tremendous job here and he’s been a great ambassador for our University, which makes this even more difficult.
“However, it’s apparent in evaluating the program through the first month of the season that a change has to be made. Our commitment to excellence and competing at the highest level is unwavering, and our goals for the remainder of this season haven’t changed.

Like O lied about learning from his mistakes and letting his coaches coach?

2015 when everyone thought CLM was getting the boot after the A&M game. Remember him being carried off the field and the signs the fans had in the stands? LSU won. A&M didn't quit, LSU was just that much better at that time in the season.

I never said A&M quit. I said A&M finished 7-5 and their coach was fired the day after the game. That was showing that they were just a bad team, not that they quit.

A&M was unranked 10 out of 12 weeks in 2017. They were ranked #24 two weeks in a row in mid October and were never ranked again. They simply weren’t good, hence the win not being all that impressive.

Did it make me happy, sure. Did it convince we are ready to challenge Alabama for the West? Why would it?

Did you expect it to be? I didn't. I was actually very impressed with the way LSU performed in the game. Except the scoreboard.

no problem here. i thought you meant just beating them.

As I also had no problem with your post that I replied to before this one. Couldn't argue anything besides the "supposed to beat" part.

frick yeah, I think or used to. Janzen Jackson. At that time if I had seen Eaux walking somewhere dark with no one around and I had a metal pole I would have whacked the SOB over the head a couple/few times.

I always blamed Kiffin and Eaux for that. After Janzen went to prison for killing his Mother's boyfriend I realized that the whole thing could have been orchestrated by him.

In case you aren't familiar or don't remember. Janzen had to wait until two days after signing day to sign with LSU so his mother could travel from Cali to attend. He then signed with Tennessee - Kiffin and Eaux. He had been committed to LSU for a long time, the longest commit in that class.

I did realize how good of a recruiter Eaux was at that time.

I think that is the only reason he gives props at times. You can call him a lot of things but dumb or stupid are not on the list.

no i didnt but im not gonna tout a 14 point loss that couldve been a 21 point loss if not for mercy ,as some moral victory. just like i dont tout close bama losses under miles.

but yes they exceeded my expectations for the bama game.

??? So it's coach O's fault that jackson, a thug pos that had been in trouble his entire time in Knoxville, committed a thug pos crime? The guy had everything in front of him, it's nobody's fault but his own. Wtf are u talking about? Janzen jackson is a low life, period.

Nope. Fehoko and Shelvin are the real deal. The JUCO's are also. No predictions. Eaux wouldn't have them on the team if they weren't and Aranda wouldn't have said that LSU had the best ineligible D-line in the country.

I don't use the bullshite "learned from his mistakes". The team was averaging 10 penalties per game. What he did was not unreasonable or earth shattering.

quote:

I never said A&M quit. I said A&M finished 7-5

LSU finished 9-3. A&M wasn't a horrible team.

True. My problem at the time was that he had been LSU's longest commit as a 5-star DB. I thought the crap he pulled at signing day was because of Kiffin or Eaux.

Apparently he was flipped. The spectacle that it turned out to be was probably just him.

Can't think of anything right now. Have been content with his firings, hirings, promotions, retentions and recruiting. I'll think about it shortly when laying in bed trying to go to sleep to see if I can come up with anything...

I didn't expect a first year HC with a new OC and playing so many freshmen to do as good as LSU did this year.

do as good as LSU did this yea

we played the easiest sec schedule ever
and all but 1 of our ooc opponents had at least 8 losses.

also one of the main selling points for O was not having to rebuild.

After the Troy game LSU lost one game. To #2 ranked Bama on the road. The only close wins were the Florida (road game) and Auburn. They can only play the schedule.

Link to this information? I wasn't aware of the selling points and would love to see them. Don't link the Rant as a source please. Can't wait to see this. Thanks in advance.

ive literally never made a personal attack against O.

since i supposedly do it so often it shouldnt be hard to find.

do i need to explain what" personal" means because you didnt know what the word subjective meant a while back.

you called me dumb for saying," the subject of which lsu home game was each posters favorite home game is a subjective subject".

you then said," no its not. why do you do this?"
