You must not have watched what he did against Arkansas in Omaha last year

He pitched a good game that day but there was major concern going into that start because of how bad he was in his last 5 appearances leading up to that game.

Yes I remember how much he struggled the back end of the get season. We’re still gonna need him to come in and be good for us

He doesn’t have great stuff or great control? Tell me you don’t know baseball without telling me you don’t know baseball. He was one of, if not the best at locating pitches on last year’s natty team. He was widely considered the best reliever in baseball for most of last year. Yes, he has a very mediocre fastball, but he has an MLB level change up and keeps the ball down. These posts are so ignorant, your posting privileges should get removed.

Cowans out pitch is a 87mph changeup with arm side run. Even casual baseball fans know he’s better suited coming out of the bullpen. Can’t fault Jay for wanting to see how many innings he could eat up against Nicholls. Considering how many games they’ve played in a 5 day span and what’s coming up in Jacksonville.

What are your thoughts on Will Hellmers?

Nobodys worried, he's not a great pitcher. He's an average pitcher that can get outs occasionally against certain lineups but he doesn't have great stuff or control and games like this I totally expect from him.

That’s bullshite, lol. He is a good pitcher that rarely walks people. Go back and look at his stats. 52 innings last year with a 2.94 era with 12 walks and 60 strikeouts. That is solid work for a college pitcher.

Just too many fastballs and he was not disguising the change up as efficient as usual. My guess is that he is tweaking the delivery.
