Thats the point of confusion with people wanting face value.. Either people should sell ALL tickets at face value or use the idea of supply and demand to dictate the price for a ticket to ULL and FLA equally.

+1 I don't see how people can't understand that. They want you to pay face for shitty games and then give supply and demand excuse for selling Florida for an insane price. It doesn't work both ways. You should just consider all the money you are getting from the Florida game to cover the money you lost on ULL, Tulane, and Tech.

the demand is pretty good for this game, much better than last week because of the weather... Ended up with 4 extras..I have sold 2 today for face value. And sold 2 earlier in the week on the marketplace for face value

If the market supports face value, take it... seems the market is holding up fine this week

I know exactly what it is, unless you are using the Obaminomics version of Market Value.

The estimated amount for which a property should exchange on the date of valuation between a willing buyer and a willing seller in an arm’s-length transaction after proper marketing wherein the parties had each acted knowledgeably, prudently, and without compulsion.

EXACTLY how is this equal to face value?

HOW???? PLEASE explain this to us..

CAN it be equal? Yes, but for games against teams like ULL or LA Tech or other cream puffs many people give the tickets away or sell them at 50% off depending on the location of the seat..

Are you going to try and come up with BS and say that Florida ticket's "MARKET VALUE" is 50 dollars on the 50 in the lower bowl?? SERIOUSLY you are an idiot.

It's not. You misunderstood the premise of my post. I have an MBA in Economics, so keep the idiot comment to yourself.

Let me try again. If your going to complain about someone selling tickets over face value, don't complain about someone trying to get face value for a low demand game. You can't have your cake and eat it too. Either you allow market value to dictate the price or everybody pays face value for all games.

Sold mine a couple of weeks ago for face. If someone wants to go they shouldn't mind paying what they cost the person that's selling them. I would rather eat mine than sell them for $20 or less to some cheapskate .

In all fairness, I'd offer face straight up unless they told me "naw".

But then again the ones asking for face for the ULL game are also the one talking about supply and demand and asking for $400/ticket for Florida. Either way I know I'm not the hypocrit.

Dont forget season ticket holders also pay TAF fees for each seat. The ticket cost them more than face value. So face value isnt near the real cost of the ticket to the season ticket holder.

I know where you are coming from but the TAF fee gets the season ticket holder TAF points. I don't think it is the buyer's responsibility to pay the seller's TAF fees.

He's never struck me as a smart person. MOST of the scalpers on the ticket exchange have never struck me as smart.

Never mind all the discussion of fair prices and what the demand is for which games. If I don't have tickets to a game, I usually wait till right before kickoff and find someone who really needs to unload them so that they don't miss anything of the game... then I pay face. This has worked for some pretty big games over the years that ebay tix were priced in the 100's for.

That being said, all the people that are skipping the game b/c they can watch it on TV or b/c it isn't a big game: not true fans. Sorry, JMO, but I live 10 hours from Tiger Stadium and would LOVE to be in Death Valley for every home game.

TAF points for the average season ticket holder are worthless if your trying to get into a big bowl game. Most of us are so far down the list it is a joke to even try to us the TAF point system. The only thing paying TAF fees does is get us the right to buy our tickets.

Last time I came in town for an LSU game was 2006. Flew in from Ft. Lauderdale for the home opener against ULL. I figured there would be lots of tickets available. There were hundreds if not thousands of people holding fingers up looking to purchase tickets. Thought I was going to get shut out that night but did get tickets just before kickoff. I paid too much money to come in tomorrow for the game but we are in the lower bowl. I will pay extra to sit in the lower bowl. The upper-deck sucks as far as a game experience especially when you get a seat in the aa and above row.
