You're the problem....with the blessing of being the only major university in a state full with football talent, LSU has clearly underachieved and is not reaching its potential. I can assure you Alabama wins championships because its fans expect and demand they do. Too many LSU fans accept less with LES.

I think a HUGE mistake was made last night, now we are dealing with most likely a 9-3 or 8-4 type year next year.
We're like looking at 9-3 wish whether it's Les or a new guy.

Waiting an extra year is going to put us in a much deeper hole.
It'll just put us 1 year behind starting fresh.

If things look the same next year, it doesn't really change much. Whether it was this offseason or next, all that really matters is getting the right guy in place. Had we fired Les but not gotten the right guy, we'd be f'ed either way.

This got 11 upvotes? I was okay with change when I thought it was going to happen, but some of you have a seriously unhealthy hatred of Miles I hope I never understand. Now, to top it off, we have at least 11 posters believing that the media is motivated to keep LSU down and/or gets enjoyment from it.

But it is true. I mean, how can it not be true when people are holding signs that say "LES MILES IS LSU"

We're reading into signs at a football game just a bit too much now?

Not when they chant Les' name well knowing that he is mediocre.

People were chanting les miles to pay respect to the man that is the winningest coach ever at LSU. The standing ovation and everything else was to pay respect to a man that was supposed to be gone, not to voice support for him staying.

Many with Saban's players.

Plus, it's about what you're going to do in the future, not what you've done. THis is a business.

11 years and people still giving credit to someone else.

05 might be the only season you can claim this. So he won more games during a time of crisis with Sabans players than saban did. After that, his players were apart of every win.

The stadium was chanting "fire Joe Alleva" before the game even started

that means we just make the top 20%, the lower rung, evidently good enough for you ?

I never said that. I just think you don't know what mediocre means.

I want LSU to win every game they play. What fan doesn't?

It could be a blessing in disguise. Maybe when Miles leaves a bigger name, more successful coach is available.

Alleva needs to keep everything very close to the vest next time. Don't talk to boosters, heck, not even coaches. Just do it, and make sound BUSINESS decisions.

I'm disappointed that sentiment, media reports, and emotions seem to have steered this process. If my employer ran business this way we'd fail.

Next time Alleva, just give a thumbs up to everyone and do what you have to do behind closed doors, because maybe everyone deserves that sort of treatment.

Not true, Miles has just put the program in the national spotlight year end and year out like no other in LSU history. That's why we love our Les.

To help him out we should start scheduling high school teams, we could have like really high numbers then

Oh wait we already playing crap games it's when we play real games we have trouble, but if you shuffle the Crap games in with the REAL Games it hides the REAL STORY

If I am "the problem", there were a stadium full of "the probem" last night. That would mean that most of you cryers don't contribute to the football program, or the school except to type your opinions on a message board. You it appears are the problem. I'm an alum, and a season ticket holder for more years than you can count up to. 14 year member of TAF, and I don't live and die for any sport. I HAVE A LIFE outside of football. It's entertainment for me. I love when the tigs win, and hurt when they lose, but It does not figure into my life because I can get over it in a short time. And for no other reason, a coach, be it CLM, or anyone should never be treated like LSU, and Joe Alleva treated CLM for the past couple of weeks. That kind of thing hurts the program far more than a coach does in this instance. That alone put me on the coaches side. I'll just leave you, and people like you to waller in your misery. Good Day.

"Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren't used to an environment where excellence is expected."

Steve Jobs

This holds so true for those who love Miles more than LSU or excellence. Heck they would not know excellence if it hit them in the face.
