Again, it can impact the team's performance when the players do it, not the fans. Also, I've played sports all my life, organized and pick up. I've never had any superstitions or traditions and I mainly played baseball which is the most superstitious.

What the fans wear doesn't help the baseball team either. It's the player's superstitions that can make them feel more at ease that has an impact on the game.

Dang - so literal - we’re having fun here.

If it makes you feel closer to the team and you enjoy the game more with your superstitions and traditions, by all means, do it for every game.

struck a chord with some of these superstitious fricks who think they will impact the game tomorrow.

No one REALLY believes their superstitious rituals will actually impact the outcome. You are just being a contrarian because you're starving for a little attention, albeit negative. You must be very lonely and you must not know how to have a little fun. I feel sorry for you.

Yep, weird to see people freak out over it.

Everyone has a superstition whether they admit to it or not. When I played baseball I had to touch each calf and each shoulder with the bat before the first pitch.

We do it because we are passionate and because we enjoy it. Obviously our breakdown or superstition has no effect on the game, but it is nice to see if what we predict happens.

I don’t think there is anything unique about Louisiana sports fandom. Every fan base has rituals and diehards.

It's just so stupid

You know what I think is so stupid? When someone starts five threads in a week saying that Tua will not play against LSU. You should find that person and call them stupid. Oh wait, it was you.

Did someone say anything about a player's superstitions?

I would suspect that for most it is less about superstition and more about tradition and ritual. Their own personal march down victory hill

Is the sky glowing purple a sign that LSU is fated to win championship game?

Oh, no!!! More silliness!

quote:

“Purple clouds for a Tiger win,” wrote Kathy Estes in the comments under the photo.

“That a sign LSU is winning the National Championship Monday night,” commented Brenda Barksdale.

Do you want to see what happens if I don’t wear, eat, and drink the same things I always do? Do you want to see what happens if my cat, Toonces, doesn’t wear her small LSU jersey? I don’t think you want to see what would happen.

The last time I was unable to fight that bitch into the jersey is the last game the real Tigers lost.

I posted a while back that every time my now ex wife gives birth, LSU wins a championship. We won 2 football and one baseball title when my three were born and she just had a new baby in November, so...... We’ve been divorced for 8yrs so I’m all for her having however many kids she can if it gets the Tigers another title. We’ll find out tomorrow if she has magic eggs or if I had the magic sperm.

I tried to bump my original post the last couple of weeks after wins but I’m never able to get it to the front page.

I had a pedi with purple polish and gold flakes as a top coat. Baby toe got ruined. Was gonna have a touch up but then realized 9 toes are still painted and Joe is #9.
