Penn St lost by 39 to Michigan. OSU should be the pick.

And Penn state has 1 more loss

Head to head should only come into play when they have the same record

This is just wrong. They don't win their conf. but go ahead of conf. champion? This is even worse than the LSU vs bama bullcrap because the said conf. championships matter before hand! WOW

Presently living in Cincinnati, i believe Kramer and ESPN will do what ever it takes to put "the OSU" in the rocking chair. They repeatedly influenced and tweeked the BCS until finally gaining success with the current subjective system. Evidenced by OSU only falling 4 places after loosing to unranked PSU. West/east coast bias and control in the media, sports and everthing we think is free.

So if Penn State had 4 OOC losses and was 9-4, they should go ahead of a 1 loss Ohio State?

I'm actually glad this happened. Unfortunate for Penn St, but we need incidents like this to get the ball rolling to expanding the playoffs to 8 teams.

If LSU had lost by 39 to Wisconsin, lost to Auburn in the same way in which we did, but won out, including the SEC Championship - should LSU have gotten in at 11-2?

Or would you put 11-1 Alabama in over LSU?

Nah. Shouldn't have lost to pitt.

I get this but OSU is rewarded for losing in this situation.

Washington vs Bama will be like watching John Curtis play Bama. Of course Washington talks a good game.

Bama - undefeated
OSU - 1 loss
Clemson - 1 loss
Washington - 1 loss

Penn St - 2 losses

This isn't rocket science.

Because Conference Champships can only be used if it's a 100% all in excuse

It can't be, conference champions should always get in IF.

# of losses should be the deciding factor. They are choosing the best 4 teams, not the best 4 teams from conferences

They could have gotten in over Washington I guess, UW really didn't beat anybody.

The point is OSU by virtue of not winning its division benefited by not having a chance to lose.

As a matter of principle we should not let a non conference champion in over a conference champ. Doing so will weaken conference schedules in the long run.

Well your hypothetical is ridiculous because it couldn't happen. Explain to me how PSU could play for the conference championship with 4 losses, when OSU has 1.
