Pelini deserves a little time by boudinman
New DC with a new scheme, and the team had had little to no spring practices to implement the scheme or learn the intracies of it. It's much easier to install and run an Offense especially when you have Spring through Summer time for practices and spending time with the analysts.

Due to Covid, this year's team is behind and struggling to understand the new defensive schemes, terminology, and coverage

I might agree if we actually saw the defense trying and just struggling to execute.

But the defense is playing like they have already quit.

Whatever Bo is selling them, the players aren’t buying. And worse aren’t even interested. He has to go.

How many times have I heard that crap about some coach?? No, he doesn't deserve any time, other newly hired DC's are having their teams play well from the start. Look either you know what you're doing and have it from the start or you don't, and he does not have it. I just don't like his schemes anyways, I never did, too passive on defense as his defenses are taught to "read and react" with DLinemen dropping into pass coverage sometimes. I like attacking defenses that are always aggressive, they have a lot of disguised blitzing going on so as to not give the QB all the damn time in the world back in the pocket to pick you a part. Sometimes with aggressive schemes you can get burned, but I can live with that rather than give up chunks of yardage all the time like Pelini's defenses do all the way down the field resulting in a TD once inside the redzone.

I saw his defense when he was with Miles and I didn't like it then and don't like it now. He's responsible for LSU being the only 2 loss NCAA championship team because of that same defense not being able to hold down Kentucky and Arkansas. They were a couple of average teams back then in 2007 just like Mizzou and Miss State is now in 2020. Smh

No, Pelini does not deserve more time. This is bigtime business.

Maybe.

However, get better. Even if in baby steps, get better every week.

They are getting worse. That is unacceptable.

And what top tier coach would want to come to LSU where theres the potential of getting fired after 3 games without a chance?

3 consecutive losing seasons is a real possibility if he doesn’t find another Brady and Aranda.

I can understand the reasoning that he needs more time with the COVID issues, but I do not understand the lack of hustle (loafs) & p poor tackling. With the exception of Cox, it looks like no one wants to hit.

DUMB post. You joined in 2019, must be young.
Pelini is repeating the same things for he had to leave LSU....before getting fire and what got him the same results at Nebraska. He does defend team that pass and for those that run, when they adjust, Pelini has nothing left in his arsenal.
