Meanwhile up north Paxton Kling is tearing it up at Penn State. 7 HRs 17 RBI in 12 games. Great outfielder, extremely mishandled by CJJ who had his head completely screwed up.
whose pitching up there? I'm sure alot was mental and the change has helped him but who are the pitchers he faces?

OR he’s a year older and his competition level has gone down. Obviously he didn’t want to compete with the transfers and newcomers

Shame on CJJ for putting Kling in the starting lineup and expecting him to hit. Post Less.

Kling certainly had it in him. Great example of ‘being the right fit’.

Because of our depth, LSU doesn’t have the patience for streakiness and unpredictability.

He has tons of ability, but the stage was too big for him and he couldn't take the competition. He was given far more chances than other players with the same stats. Some players are so use to being the star, that they can't really handle battling for their spot. Just look at Pearson, he has been in and out of the lineup yet he still performs in the clutch, despite very modest overall stats.

I wish him the best, but some players just have to play without having to look over their shoulder at the competition. There is major competition at every position when you're at LSU. When you don't perform, someone else is going to be given a chance. I look at guys like Kramer and Papierski that had their struggles and were put on the bench for someone that performed better. They kept battling and turned out to be great players

Has Jay proven to be a great developer? Not yet

But does Kling’s early success this year mean much? I doubt it, until he proves he can hit good pitching.

I don’t think small-school fastballs in the pre-conference schedule were ever much of an issue, it’s the power conference breaking balls that made him look stupid along with the fact that he tries to pull everything with a big swing so anyone who can locate outer third has a massive advantage over him.

It was pretty obvious last year he had something wrong with his swing. Not sure why we couldn’t get him some help. We just kept trotting him out there setting him up to fail. Just be happy for Paxton. He found a fix and is representing his home state now.

He was given every chance to play here. He couldn’t handle SEC pitching, end of story.

had every opportunity to shine. Change of scenery and being at a school where students and fans have no idea you’re on the baseball team has done wonders for him. Hope he has a great season, some kids can’t handle the pressure of constantly looking over your shoulder at the backup that’s ready to take your spot or the new recruit coming in.

You mean kling who couldn't even Kling the bat when he was here no no not screwed up by CJJ buddy, i mean in the SEC there was a broad side to the barn and he couldn't hit it ok, Penn is a different league. We have way better outfielders now
