I would have loved to have more success in Omaha under him, but every time we went to the SEC tourney under Paul it just felt different. Every time it felt like it was ours to take regardless of the seeding.

And only once did a National Championship follow.

This is a “preseason” scrimmage. Let’s get ready for the real event next week

This is the least important 2-3 games since February.

No injuries, build some confidence with bullpen guys, get Crews back to hitting line drives, win a game.

That's the order of importance.

I say win 3 games, get Crews right, get better defensively, get the bullpen work, and Coleman extended time and then go home. I don’t want any of the starting 3 pitchers to lose a game going into regionals. Sat would be a perfect day to go home.

If only he could have gotten the team to play that loose and confident in the supers and Omaha more often but yea the sec tournament was fun that’s for sure

No it wouldn’t. Pitchers need to pitch and stay in a routine. Throwing them off of their routine a week to 10 days prior to the playoffs is not good for them one bit. Almost every former pitcher will tell you that.

How many ‘meaningful’ titles have you won? Or what is it that you do that allows you to feel that way?

Going deep into the SEC tournament is worthless. You age your pitchers arms instead of resting them.

The King Skipper rarely did well in the SEC tournament but look at the bling he has on his fingers.
