Why would Marinara risk his million dollar gig when he can shovel the blame on his players?

And talking about a no hitter is a big no no and you don't step on the baseline.

But overall there are certain unwritten rules in life that individuals do follow with class and honor. Its called integrity.

One of those in a coaches case is that you don't individually call out a player on your team after a loss. Especially if they are amatures and you are a professional. Its ok if its a rare event that slips out. Its excusable.

The problem is that CPM does it regularly. Its the exact reason I gave up my season tickets 4 years ago and its the reason I am most hard on him today. Integrity... He has none.

Miles has deflected blame onto others on more than just one occasion in the past.

Would it have made you feel better if I would have called him a pussy, bitch, etc? They are the exact same thing.

I was trying to spare those words to the board.

If it's obvious that a pitcher doesn't have his stuff, what's he supposed to do? If a hitter looks completely baffled by the slider at every at bat and swings at every pitch, what's he supposed to do? He didn't get emotional about it, he gave a direct answer.

LSU hasn't had the #3 starter needed to win in Omaha in a long time. It's not complicated and I do blame him and Dunn for that.

Put in a different pitcher Isnt that what a coach is supposed to get paid to do?

Instead he let the guy that "didn't have it" go longer while giving the hook to the pitchers that we dominate.

You see there is this rule where one player can sit the bench and another player can come into the game and replace him. CPM throws Jared Foster under the bus DURING the fricking game and then with the entire season on the line CPM didn't choose to put in a PH? WHY THE frick NOT?

Couldn't agree more with the consensus on PM. What we need is TCU's coach Schlossnagle, his coaching legacy at Tulane, UNLV and TCU is impressive and he would jump at this opportunity....

It's not a consensus, it's the Rant.

Only players win games and only coaches lose here.

Why haven't I seen the rest of the quotes from Mainieri on here?

quote:

“Right now my feelings are just very, very sad for our players that gave so much and so much effort this year with the goal of winning a national championship, and we’ve come a little bit short. In particular, it’s going to be really difficult to say goodbye to a group of really wonderful kids that have played their last game for LSU.

He said even more positives about a few particular players. But everyone, please by all means, ignore the praise he gives to his players.

It probably has something to do with the fact that what you quoted is what a grown man making millions of dollars a year to coach 18-22 year olds is supposed to say. Everything else quoted in this thread is what he is not supposed to say. See the difference?

I, too, am insulted. He should have said that he acted gay in his response. Women deserve better than that.

If a player isnt performing to their potential, PM is just stating fact. The Rant is really who throws players under the bus.

Will be his legacy

Oh my god you're an idiot
