Baseball is not about winning every game, we started the season with a lot of freshmen players and the team matured as the season progressed.
Paul Mainieri is a good coach and winning in the playoffs has many factors other than coaching.
Getting good brackets
Getting good calls
Getting lucky breaks
The other team making errors
The other teams best pitcher not playing
Players getting hot at the plate
You will be calling for him to be fired next season again

baseball has way more factors out of your control than football with way more games leading to way more lucky or unlucky things happening. crazy things happen in baseball.
